I proposed to @judah.bsky.social Saturday night in fursuit at a local tiki weekender during the dances!! After nearly 19 years of dating, and even though we have our matching industrial piercings in symbolic place of wedding bands, we still figured it would be fun to make it "official-official!" ❤️

“Terminator 2: Judgment Day” (1991) was entirely improvised. The director James Cameron liked it so much he kept the movie in the movie.

So @judah.bsky.social spent a couple hours on Sunday applying floor epoxy! Amazing how much a high-build makes a space look a lot more professional and finished. Another area about 2/3rd this size to put down and then we can finally set up all of the machine shop equipment in it's forever-home! <3

Sunlight photons are free, you can just take them!

Just squeezed 2A of constant current LED drive with full brightness modulation, DC/DC buck from 65V max, in to less than 1 cm^2 of board space. I love tiny routing challenges!

So I don’t know who comes up with these named days but October 10 particularly is the day My Little Pony Friendship is Magic was originally released in 2010 so it’s the 16th Anniversary! Good Day to celebrate My Little Pony! #MyLittlePonyDay

I swapped my new glass plugs out to teeny 8g tunnels today! Not going to start stretching for a few months still to allow full recovery to the tissue, but everything healed up so quickly without any problems that I felt completely comfortable switching them in. Excited to get these accents up to 2g!

Present You can only punish Future You, but not Past You. That being said, do something nice for Future You today! Because Future You will eventually become Present You, and Present You will be all "Oh, hey, thanks Past Me! I really needed that today." ❤️

Harvard just dropped a study AI productivity in software engineering and it found the average increase in productivity from using Claude code is.....zero and for exactly the reasons you'd think fion.ac/jellyfish.pdf

And the board rerouted to accommodate the 176 pin package chip! Now to fab prototypes to validate the design changes before sending these in to full quantity production.

I think TL;DR is quickly becoming TO;DC -- "Too old, don't care." -- with regard to Internet culture awareness Zoomers: "Hey, did you see [NewThing] on YouTube?" Me: "Sorry, no. TO;DC."

CatFact: They will ONLY sit nicely on the scale when you're not wanting to actually weigh them! Else it's a constantly fluctuating number, full of squirming and claws.

Full blown fascism. We have the Fourth and Fifth Amendments for a reason: to stop government agents like ICE from becoming the president’s secret police. Where's the outrage from “constitutional conservatives”?

Today's routing task: Fitting 176 pins of shit in a 100 pin package. Because of course the 100 pin package version is out of stock till sometime in 2027, but the 176 pin version is the exact same die but with bond-out of the additional pins we don't use on the 100 pin variant. Now to make it fit!

I always loved how Phil leaned heavily into this meme.

Several weeks ago, Phil Tippett's legendary animation studio in Berkeley, CA closed. An anonymous hero noticed a folder of CDs. This turned out to be hundreds of unseen hi-res images and videos from Star Wars, Robocop, Jurassic Park, etc. ~90 isos for you to browse: archive.org/details/tipp...

Here we combine the fucking stupidest beliefs of tech with the fucking stupidest beliefs of Catholicism to make something even fucking stupider than the sum of its stupid fucking parts.

Sneaking in some good luck love to a board design about to be submitted out to fab! ♥️

The grammar phrase "Dangling participle" has always sounded mildly uncomfortable to me.

I wish someone would write a story about parental adults saying the worst types of things after stewing in their Facebook circles and why they think it's ok to do so.

A lot of people said a lot of things about the ineffectiveness of production limitations for generating greenhouse gas reductions and speeding up renewable adoption for the past decade which were clearly false. You gotta have a gaggle of queer friends. Otherwise, I think you’re missing out on so many lessons of love, whimsy, survival, forgiveness, wisdom, strength and magic. And some very entertaining stories of interpersonal drama.
