“The hot new song is now the perpetual hot new song and there are all kinds of systems in place to make sure it stays that way. At a certain point, that level of domination doesn’t look like a good thing, it means you aren’t competing against anyone else. It means the entire system might be broken.”

New here 🤪 the UX here is sending me into fugue state I feel like my friend is trying to take a candid photo of me but I’m too aware of it and idk how to hold my arms

Many years ago, there was a yearly internet-themed Halloween costume contest in New York City called Hallowmeme. Our next live show at Baby’s All Right in Brooklyn on October 27th is NOT Hallowmeme. But it is a tribute. It’s a night of comedy, music, journalism, and of course, a costume contest.

A solid account of the migration of Kirk memes from the groyper right to the left, although my guess is that trans shitposter DMs were in at the beginning, too. Anyway: “Trumpism is doomed because they suck at event planning”is real insight

One year after his death, Charlie Kirk has become the Harambe for Gen Alpha. A meme so strange and hideous that no brand or government can ever co-opt it. And MAGA has never felt older and weaker and more out of touch. www.garbageday.email/p/charlie-ki...

One year ago today, Charlie Kirk was killed by someone the right-wing wasn’t able to effectively use for fearmongering. On Panic World, we look back at what Kirk’s legacy is now: a guy who’s trapped in memes and shitposts forever. www.patreon.com/PanicWorld/p...
