I try to make games in #Godot. Trying to not fall into the politics pit this time around. (If you are the artist who drew my pfp, feel free to contact me, cuz I couldn't find you)

Last I'll post about this, but Elon Musk disagrees with me. This means I am onto something, and I feel more valid in my opinion than ever.

Today I'm gonna create a #Godot project to distribute my GDScript Dither library to #Github as FOSS. I will be using the free Kenney assets in the project. Just a reminder that you can donate anytime to Kenney and get cool stuff, including the Certificate of Awesomeness! 🤭

Godot has become a viable game engine Blender has become a viable 3D modelling AND animation tool SteamDeck is now a fantastic "mobile" Desktop platform AAA is shrinking / abandoning territory, ceding more genres to indie Basically, (funding sitch aside) indie gamedev is seriously looking up!

Please give me an unironic list of things that have gotten better over the last ten years because I’m spiraling. I’ll start: you can buy an enormous TV from Costco for like $100 bucks now.

every martian year communities get together to celebrate the day the first permanent settlement on mars was established, back in the early 2200s. the specifics vary wildly from region to region, but the festival usually involves fancy outfits, nice food, and intense partying

I sure have been silent here recently, but it's because I've been productive. With awesome teammates, we managed to participate in two game jams : First, there's the Godot Wild Jam of July, which had the "Consume" theme. It was our first project together, and even though the game is really simple,

Work on virtual modular synthesizer continues. I just finished a major optimization and now the performance is stable and buttery smooth (and it's still in GDScript!). I've also made a big change to how some modules operate. With all those connections it sure looks like a real modular! #GodotEngine

For Godot C# and GDSCript developers that want to debug both with the same Game session running. You can do that with VSCode for GDScript (regular setup using VSCode Godot-Tools) + Visual Studio for CSharp. See next comment for details

#Godot #GameDev #IndieDev

The speed difference between Unity and Godot with C# is striking. Unity spends several seconds recompiling after every code change. In Godot, this happens almost instantly. Godot also uses a newer version of C# with many pleasant features. #gamedev #indiedev #unity3d #GodotEngine
