I think this is a really important thing what finally got me to complete delete my twitter account and remove it from my phone was when enough of the people I enjoyed following had left the platform as long as people still get enough value out of who they can find there, they’ll stay

Today is indigenous peoples day. It is crucial to remember and talk about how there is still an active genocide against the tribal nations that were here for eons before this country colonized their land. Broken treaties and needless cruelty STILL HAPPEN. Sacred sites are under attack right now.

You can and likely will become disabled. Every single person you love can and likely will become disabled. It can happen at any time: car wreck, step off the curb wrong, body stops handling flu well. You should care about how disabled people are treated. Now.

We live in a society that punishes people who are assaulted. We question them, we shame them, we disbelieve them. Many survivors instinctively do that societal work for us. Survivors question themselves, they shame themselves, they don't believe their own version of events. We've trained them!
