I emailed Patrick Healy, assistant managing editor for standards and trust at NYT, to ask why their story about a House report with new details of rape allegations against the President of the United States included neither those details, nor a single use of the word "rape." archive.is/1s9AM

Multiple AI executives have said in once-private memos that the technology cannot exist without destroying the things that it takes from (ie journalism, art, the entire tech industry) but hey I'm glad your YouTube video has an ugly thumbnail and your article has an ugly header image. Worth it!

it feels truly insane that it’s not

I know there's a lot going on but I feel it should probably be more of an above-the-fold story that members of Congress released a thoroughly documented report directly accusing the president of the United States of being a serial rapist.

Anyone else going as Pumpkin Hill from Sonic Adventure 2 for Halloween this year or just me? 🎃⛰️ The costume has a treasure hunting minigame where you can move Knuckles across the “level” and the radar necklace will blink as you get closer to the hidden emerald in the pockets 💎 I love Halloween!!

Imagine raising a child up to 5th grade and not be able to list off a literally endless list of things you love about them. I’m sorry you don’t have a mother who cares about you, Marielle.

cool, cool

Jack Jones is a good tackler who is prety good at tracking the ball and ballcarrier. He's great at cleanup, but he's incapable of sticking to fast, twitchy WRs and is basically guaranteed to grab a jersey in 1-on-1

My character is in Poly Fighter now! It feels weird to hear my normal voice instead of doing A Voice, but it's what I love about Hamza. He's a normal dude that loves his arcade, his community, and pretending to be a samurai. In fact, he's so normal that he's just me.

Poly Fighter OUT NOW!@polyfightergame.bsky.social

Samurai Hamza, master of Judo, Karate, and competition. Specializing in spacing, iming, reads, and adaptation... Hamza is hard to hit and will strike when you least expect it. ⚔️ Voiced by gaming legend, Tamoor Hussain 🎙️ Unlock Hamza in Poly Fighter's Early Access on Steam 👊

Spitting at someone is one of the all-time punkass moves and I hope any players who do it get punished (by the league or the person they spit at)

You should never forgive EA for how they've handled Bioware over the years. They did not need to do any of the things they did to ruin two massive franchises in Mass Effect and Dragon Age. And now EA, going private under PIF, will crank up the microtransactions and enjoy huge executive bonuses.

As people left Bioware over the years, there was always talk about decisions coming in from EA. Shifting focus. The need for multiplayer, live service, or more action-heavy combat in games that absolutely didn't need it. Not one of those braindead decisions came from the people who made ME, DA, etc.

Mass Effect, Dragon Age, all of them deserved better. The state of the games industry is so wretched and draining at this point. None of these companies deserve your money, though the executives fucking everything up will continue to enjoy massive bonuses and success. It can't continue

Bioware wasn't in the state they were in because they forgot how to write and produce good video games. They were that way because EA constantly shifted expectations, demanded they follow trends, wiped out all the top talent, and ultimately ground the studio into the dirt.

Mass Effect, Dragon Age, KotOR, Jade Empire were all such important franchises. They mean a lot to a lot of people, and EA eroded that slowly at first, then quickly, then completely. It sucks and it genuinely hurts, and that's before we get to the hundreds of people who just lost their jobs.
