🚨BREAKING🚨 MPs have voted to PASS our bill to establish a UK-EU customs union. The Prime Minister must now listen to his own MPs, drop his self-imposed red lines and finally go for proper growth through an ambitious trade deal with the EU.

Nigel Farage has spent £1m taking out adverts in the papers to distract from the Nathan Gill Russian bribe scandal. We can't let him buy himself out of this. We need an investigation into Russian influence in our politics.

Labour do know it. This is the issue - people know that they are being disingenuous by parroting the same old tired rhetoric. The country needs immigration and this dehumanisation will only hurt the people the country rely on. It’s shocking.

Paul Bernal@paulbernal.bsky.social

What the Labour Party used to understand was that it wasn’t that immigration was tearing the country apart, but that immigration was what was holding the country together. Immigration kept our NHS going, our transport system going, our education and much more. It’s still true. They must know it.

Ed Davey has urged Keir Starmer to go further on Brexit, calling for the UK to negotiate a new customs union with the EU. He’s right that Labour must be bolder in repairing relations with Europe and addressing the long-term damage caused by leaving.

We flounced out of the EU on the say-so of politicians who lied to us. And what a total shitshow that’s turned out to be. The polar opposite of what they promised. Now the call to flounce out of the ECHR. By the same people. Telling the same lies. Has the country been kicked in the head by a horse?

This should be a huge scandal. Reform’s (previously Brexit Party) former’s MEP Nathan Gill acted not in the interests of the people who had voted for him, or in those of the British and European taxpayers he was paid to represent, but in the interests of Russia. As guilty as the “Cambridge Five”

Netanyahu’s plan to occupy Gaza is abhorrent and it's increasingly clear that his goal is ethnic cleansing. The UK can't just sit on its hands. The Prime Minister must stop all arms exports to Israel and sanction Netanyahu and his cabinet.
