An underrated moment in Beetlejuice is when Adam is searching for the name of the titular character but can't find it, so instead he refers to him as "Beetle-Meyer"

there’s no middle ground position on this. either musk is forcibly rooted out of government infrastructure or every war proceeds at the whims and dictates of a generational buffoon

Me: Who am I? How do I walk? Game: One sec! First: Don't forget to pop into Sal's Bar to grab your Platinum Pistol and Talking Penknife, and check your Travel Luggage for yer Crazy Frog Tracksuit. Also the bonus mission "Peeps killed my pops!" is available if you speak to Becky in the Grocery Aisle

the praiseworthy thing here is the work done in order to bring about the environment in which the rainbow capitalists feel comfortable hoisting their pride flags. praising the capitalists themselves is pointless, they will take those flags back down for a dollar

There's been too much: "Look at this cool thing I got!" [Hands it to me] "It's from the Goodwill bins" and not enough "Look at this cool thing I got from the Goodwill bins! Want to hold it?" or even "Look at this cool thing I got!" [Hands it to me] "It's disinfected—It's from the Goodwill bins"

The music of Seinfeld, divorced from the show itself, is nothing short of disgusting. Imagine if the show didn’t exist but the music somehow did. Hearing it, your face would twist in angry revulsion

I think it's time we start taking "Arrested Development (2003-2019)" off of these best-TV-of-the-21st-century lists. "Arrested Development (2003-2006)" is fantastic. Including through "-2019" erases some of the legacy tarnish that the creatives SHOULD feel about season 5 (& 4 to a lesser extent).

As a complete package, that show is unworthy of being included (imo). Let's work on discouraging people from coming back and ruining good shit for a few dollars.

Very similar dynamic between my wife and I, only reversed. That said, I'd say my spouse is pun-curious

My wife is bi. Her queerness is defined by her and not by me! My existence does not say anything about her preferences besides that she likes puns.

Literacy crisis: everyone is mad at Ed Sheeran, but if you actually read his statement he specifically said he’s not complicit

There's an Apple Homepod at my work and I have an Android so I can only interface with it like I'm a character on Star Trek talking to the ship computer. "Siri, play something classical, like, Pet Shop Boys"

Today I have it playing a 90s alternative radio which has been great so far aside from having to drop targeted throat clears during the chorus of Nine Inch Nails song "Closer"

This is pretty fucking wild. I had assumed in a worst case scenario he would target blue zip codes and toss ballots based on technicalities but this is even worse than I imagined.

Chauvin was, in fact, the cause of Floyd’s death. He used a technique that MPD and most other agencies have banned, specifically because it causes death. And the crime for which he was convicted is unintentional second-degree murder, which by definition does not require intent to kill.

Is there ever a time now when he's not trying to ignite a race war?

I'm not good at eating fruit regularly even though it's delicious and good for me, so I'm starting up this new thing where I'll cut up some fruit to eat while I play games. I call this my "gamer fruit." you too can enjoy some "gamer fruit," it's nice and I would recommend it

this guy got caught because he's dumber than the average cop and chose a woman who wasn't marginalized enough. imagine what happens when a cop does this to, say, a sex worker or a woman with previous charges who are not likely to be willing to report this kind of thing. what do you think happens

unbelievable that a Christian metal band could somehow suss out the intersection of both "deeply unchristian" and "deeply unmetal" but they pulled it off.

I think it should be allowed—with repayment plus interest, because, as they have just shown, I did not purchase the item, I extended them a line of credit secured by the digital item. (I also didn't lease or rent anything, because there was no defined term where I had right of quiet enjoyment.)

say what you will about AI, always-on voice recording and auto dictation has been a game changer for my workflows. Save post and close app. Yeah Footlong meatball sub on white. No veggies. Don't toast it. Ranch and barbecue sauce. Yeah, ranch and bargecue sauce. More. More. Little more please

Hanging around for an email makes me feel like some Pavlov'd dog, constantly being activated anytime some otherwise forgotten app starts buzzing with notifications. Would not have done well as a peasant waiting on carrier pigeons to bring replies. Bird flies over? "Hold on, that might be for me."
