Have found close to the opposite of all these statements to be true after moving to France for the last year.

The internet told them Europe was a social paradise. Turns out the trains are awful, the health care isn’t free, and people can be really mean.

AI has talked kids into suicide, fueled paranoid delusional that led to murder, degraded education quality in both k-12 and higher ed, run roughshod over copyright law, increased spam, fueled spam, fueled fraud, degraded the environment, put people out of work, the list goes on and on.

This AI discourse is amazing. "We've created this very dangerous thing, based largely on the mass theft of labour, that we should stop developing" - okay, so that means that you should be treated like social and economic vandals, not revered as sages on podcasts.

I was just told by my boss that my slides/presentation for the investors was amazing. Took an amazing amount of effort to not reply “thanks, I made them myself like a grown up, no AI.”

President Trump provided a “cash gift for the holidays” to three White House aides last year, handing out $45,000 each to his executive assistant Natalie Harp and two other employees who work in the West Wing, according to financial disclosure forms.
