This is a brilliant essay, which, in my view, accurately describes the predicament of the post-Boomer generations, and the vast infrastructure of lies designed to disguise it. "Degeneracy is a symptom. The disease is rent." 🧵 henryfudgeofficial.substack.com/p/degeneracy...

Some might think Míde is too young to be a TD. But her youth doesn't make her any less experienced, knowledgeable, or passionate about the issues that affect Galway West. There has never been a more important time to send Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil a strong message. On May 22nd, vote Míde # 1.

To suggest that a country as wet and flood-prone as Ireland shouldn't have established mechanisms in place for rapid delivery of flood relief is absolutely nuts. This isn't a surprise act of God. It's common. Disaster preparedness should be a basic aspect of any government's portfolio. #Spéirgorm

You have until 5.30 today to write in to the government consultation on these fees. They're trying to price people out of protecting our land and water. While on the other hand they're trying to give corporations an entirely new secret court to sue Ireland through CETA

Dept wants to put limits on recoverable costs, leaving people facing six-figure bills even when they win. That would be the end of public-interest environmental litigation, favouring wealthy and commercial interests, and undermining environmental protection. www.irishexaminer.com/opinion/comm...

Whatever else this government do (and there's plenty of issues with this budget) ministers will always be able to point to this as an incredible important contribution to the country's future. Almost half a million kids taken out of poverty.

Scrapping the two-child limit in full is a monumental decision. Well done to all involved in the Child Poverty Strategy, and everyone who has made the case against the policy. OBR says scrapping costs £3 billion in 2029-30 and will lift 450,000 out of poverty

Excellent news in the UK #Budget2025 today! So many people and organisations have campaigned for abolishing the two child limit that should not have existed in the first place.

We’ve joined 100+ others in calling for the government to fully scrap the two-child limit. Every child deserves the best start in life. By fully scrapping the two-child limit the government can deliver a decisive shift in children’s opportunities, and in the UK's potential.
