Just for perspective, a few weeks ago roughly 100,000 turned up for the London Trans+ Pride march. By contrast fewer than 3,000 ACROSS THE WHOLE COUNTRY, have turned up to anti-asylum "protests". Yet we are meant to take the latter as "the voice of the people" and the former as "the minority".

Literally, one of the top 10 things people should remember from high-school physics.

The reason EV range (and gas mileage) go down so much when you drive faster is because, when you drive twice as fast, you hit twice as many molecules AND you hit each of those molecules with twice as much force, which means drag increases exponentially.

Feeling embarrassed by your past work is not a sign of incompetence. It’s a mark of growth. Regretting your prior decisions doesn't reflect poor judgment. It reveals new insight. Cringing at your old opinions doesn't display ignorance. It demonstrates an open mind.

🚨BREAKING: The last journalists working for AFP in Gaza have said they can no longer work for the news agency. They are out of energy and they are starving to death. I have never seen a statement from a news organisation like it. 🧵

Switzerland built a 4,000 m² retractable solar roof producing 350,000 kWh yearly. It folds automatically and was funded by citizens adopting panels. The model is scalable for urban and commercial applications.

I discovered yesterday, in a mass email sent at 3am, that I will not be receiving the roughly £40,000 that my publisher Unbound/Boundless owes me for pre-order sales of The Paradox Paradox. The payment for five years of work, gone. #unboundless

Authors published by the crowdfunding publisher Unbound will not receive historic royalty payments for sales of their books, unless Boundless, the new publisher founded following Unbound going into administration, "survives and thrives" 👇 #BookSky

NEW from me: China's CO2 emissions fell ~1.6% in the first quarter and have now been flat or down for more than a year. This is the first time on record that emissions are falling due to clean energy growth, not slow power demand.

No matter how bad you imagine smallpox was, it was worse than that.

Ben Franklin on inoculation, after his son died from smallpox. “In 1736, I lost one of my sons, a fine boy of four years old, by the small-pox, taken in the common way. I long regretted bitterly, and still regret that I had not given it to him by inoculation”.

The difference in national tax income if I pay nothing is basically unmeasurable. I really don't see why my family should impoverish itself, when the schools and hospitals are almost entirely paid for by other people

Yep. Like all right wing bullshit, it's them projecting their warped worldview on others. From calling others pedos to tantrums about mixed-gender bathrooms to virtue signalling. Every. Single. Time

Do they still tell libs to stop crying? Which begs the question why the parties that are all about the rule of law throw such a tantrum when they get their comeuppance? Just wondering Le Pen and all your nazi brethren? Can you illuminate things for me?
