Everyday I understand that FDR was so ahead of his time, he knew that the US needed to move beyond greed and more & the only way to do it was to give the working class the ability to be happy & more

An important bit of immigration law which is relevant here; there is already a waiver process — Section 212(k) of the INA — by which immigrants who obtain status through fraud that they didn't know about can avoid consequences like losing a green card. So this is *even weaker* than it already seems.

People have never wanted to engage with the level of political and state- sanctioned violence it took to create and maintain segregation, and for that matter, enslavement.

I've been immersed in research on Reconstruction in Lousiana and it's a very difficult truth to absorb that the white terrorist movement in the South was among the most successful terrorist movements in global history. Took 10 years but it won a total & complete victory through murder and atrocity.

This is it. We need to call out the mysogyny, both subtle and overt in meetings, social situations. We need to be the guys who make it awkward, who walk out saying "If you're going to be an asshole fuck you." We never earned our social position so if we have to lose it to speak the tuth, so be it.

Every corporate media outlet in America covered the same motion regarding the Trumps and Capital One this weekend. Nobody opened what was underneath it. So—I did. This is a bigger scandal than we ever thought. Spread the word. www.dworkinsubstack.com/p/twelve-day...

dworkinsubstack.comTwelve Days Before Trump’s Bank Cut Him Off, Somebody Wrote A MemoCapital One hasn’t released it. The Trumps’ own lawyers described it in a filing nobody read. Plus 25 states in court over the tariffs, and the nurse ICE picked the wrong fight with.

Earth is now warming faster than at any point in recorded geological history - around 10 times faster than the extreme warming event 56 million years ago and 20 times faster than at the end of the last ice age. We are almost certainly in a new extinction event.

It’s the bigotry. Our electorate is littered with knuckle dragging bigots and religious zealots.

Allow me to explain. The source of your skepticism is quite understandable because you’ve confused American voters with people from any other nation on earth. But— these are cavemen. Cretinous troglodytes. Quite literally, the dumbest people in world history. Fungi are smarter.

Justice served, or embarrased or something. The sham case against Olympic Canoeist Davey Hearn has been dismissed by the DOJ, which admits "botched installation" by the crony contractor -- not any phantom vandalism claimed by Dear Leader Trump -- created the damage at the reflecting pool

📌Deleting the names of 4 US troops from the war dead is one of the most despicable things the draft-dodging, America-attacking Trump has ever done. It also points to sheer panic in his regime as their unpopular war spirals out of control, threatening to bring down the GOP House and Senate in Nov.

I have to admit that I didn’t know, and I even thought the Spanish player Cucurella’s look was quite original, when it comes to his hair, but I was unaware of this: If he let his hair grow , it’s so that his autistic son can easily recognize him when he watches him on TV. Truly, this Spanish team ❤️

A friend of mine found these three kittens behind a Bay Area gas station. They are tame, vaccinated, and incredibly affectionate. Unfortunately, she's unable to keep them and I'm trying to find them a home. They are at risk of going to a shelter. Bay Area people, are you open to adopting?

Today, Illinois has broken another record with its highest-ever ranking in CNBC’s Top States for Business at 12th. We're tied for the largest improvement of any state since 2019, thanks to eight balanced budgets and 10 credit upgrades. And our state will keep building on this.

I spoke to Mitch McConnell for twenty minutes this morning, he said in a weak but firm voice, “If I did not think the DoJ would take care of it, I would not have voted against removal’ I quietly sidled up to him, gently caressed his cheek and whispered in his ear “I’m pulling the plug now skippy”

It's over. Sadly. The #usmnt had a great World Cup, though. It's just a shame that Trump tainted their image - the players didn't do anything wrong - in the eyes of the rest of the world on the eve of their defeat.
