This chart is insane. This shows Russia's casualties over time compared to Russia's territorial gains in Ukraine over the last five years. No sane or rational person would say continuing the war to try and take more of Ukraine's territory is worth the casualties.

I don't know... there's the old joke about the Pole whose three wishes are for Mongols to invade Poland thrice, just so they'd have to go through Russia six times. Mearsheimer could write thousands of pages building on that very threatening premise.

There is no other way all this ends regardless. If Russia’s aggression succeeds against Ukraine, this era of aggression only gets worse and lasts longer. There will be no era of peace until a better rules-based world is achieved, whether that takes weeks, years, or centuries.
