Well well well
With the entire Adobe suite being "decompiled" by LLMs and put open source, same for a lot of PS5 games I envision a very funny future in AI discourse. Can't wait to see companies EA officially go from "I can replace my devs" to "AI is theft actually" as it threatens their bottom line

At least we have trains, and health care in most European countries is basically free (taxes? No way!).. you will not go bankrupt over anything health related. "People can be really mean" sounds like a you problem
The internet told them Europe was a social paradise. Turns out the trains are awful, the health care isn’t free, and people can be really mean.

After stealing all intellectual property on earth, literal slavery, tax fraud, the ongoing destruction on the planet and communities it.. works ? Well I was wrong then, totally worth it to kill the environment, democracy, and art ! Guys we can code faster ! It destroys our brains but who needs them
I think it’s important for anyone who (completely understandably) checked out on AI the second the crypto/nft/metaverse/snake oil chuds started pushing it to realize that, in at least the domain of software development, we are very much living in a scenario where the snake oil actually works

I gave Opus 5.5, considered the best model these days, a medium-sized task. Even after a full adversarial review and simplify loop to convergence, it produced code that worked but was garbage, with limited use of newtypes and representable invalid states everywhere
🗞️ nobody should type code by hand anymore. here's what's left. ghuntley.com/agency/

Turns out the friction of having to learn photoshop was a crucial firewall protecting society from the terrible taste of small business owners
When I first heard about AI being used for menus and advertisements, my concern was largely that it would be used to idealize the food and make it look better than it actually was. At no point did I imagine that restaurants would willingly put out horrific looking images of their food on purpose

AI companies see words as interchangeable and have zero clue how to judge the “quality” of writing.
