Ossoff: "We are witnessing people drunk with power who are utterly reckless, utterly corrupt, and obviously believe that they live with impunity. They believe they're untouchable. They believe they're invincible. Let's prove them wrong."

Stop calling this a DC makeover. This is an illegal desecration of our capital and a huge waste of American families’ money. DC is sacred ground, and we shouldn’t minimize the real damage being done.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth tells 60 Minutes that news of a U.S. fighter jet being shot down over Iran woke him in the middle of the night. His first thought: “S***.”

it's insane they do this bend-over-backwards "critics say it raises questions" shit when the actual law just says "its illegal to put living people on currency"

The U.S. Mint releases video showing the manufacturing process for $1 coins featuring President Trump, issued to mark the United States' 250th anniversary in 2026. Critics have raised questions about the design's legality.

We are a broken nation. Hundreds of thousands of Haitians were living and working legally, paying taxes, and contributing. Haiti remains wholly unsafe. But Trump hates Haitians, and the White House wanted videos of Black people in chains, so they stripped them of status and turned on the cameras.

So Trump’s position is that elections under him were the most corrupt in the world, then Biden was elected (by the Communist Party of China) and four years later they all oversaw a fair election that he won

Donald Trump is weaponizing the full force of the United States government to punish, intimidate, and crush his political enemies. Meanwhile, the official House Democrats account is going with this messaging.

I watched the videos of the aftermath of ICE agents killing a man in Biddeford, Maine. I’m absolutely outraged and so many of my colleagues are silent. Do we really want our country to be a place where federal agents can gun people down in the streets with no accountability?

🚨Trump is going to deport Iranian women who PROVED to an immigration court that they would be persecuted in Iran to the Central African Republic, a country so dangerous to others the U.S. recommends no American travel there. Trump is destroying this country's legacy of freedom!

BREAKING: By a 6-3 vote, #SCOTUS will allow Alabama to use its never-implemented 2023 districts in this year's elections. They're likely to result in a 6-1, R-D split and the loss of 1 of 2 majority Black AL districts. www.documentcloud.org/documents/28... Earlier: www.politico.com/news/2026/05...

This is truly one of the worst things the court has done — both in terms of legitimacy and in terms of the law — since I have been covering the court.

BREAKING: In an unsigned, per curiam opinion on the shadow docket, the SCOTUS conservatives allow Alabama to use a congressional map held repeatedly by a lower court to have been enacted with discriminatory intent.

michaelrayrayray.bsky.social reposted

This will not end w/ voting rights. The fundamental premises of these SCOTUS opinions are: 1) Anti-discrimination is actually unconstitutional discrimination; 2) Intentional discrimination isn't actionable if any alternative rationale is presented. It's the beginning of the end of civil rights law.

Mark Joseph Stern@mjsdc.bsky.social

This heinous ruling confirms a worst-case-scenario reading of Callais as an all-purpose shield for racist lawmakers who want to gerrymander Black communities into electoral oblivion. And it’s outrageously partisan—a totally unprincipled gift to the GOP. www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/25p...

To be clear: the lower court said the map intentionally discriminates against black people in violation of the *constitution* (not just the VRA) and the MAGA Majority of SCOTUS is saying "that's ok now."
