You see, Dems think some mythical moderate bloc that is just so easily swayed in either direction will be inspired to vote for them if they just work EXTRA HARD to complete the group project. Ignoring the obvious point of that bloc being a wind sock, if true, and that they are helping fascists.

Well, the answer is simple in Fetterman's case: He's a MAGA Republican. The only explanation I can think of for Peters and Slotkin is: They're fuckin' idiots.

The judges they approved of REFUSED to say that Joe Biden won the 2020 election. Their refusal was a signal that they did not want to anger trump. In my opinion their refusal was also a signal that they would defer to the administration on matters of law. Shame on those Senators for being complicit!

I keep wondering why the Dems do this. All I can think of is: the Dems have almost no leverage against Trump, but the Dems still get a few concessions out of him. So how? They hold up appointments to get a deal. It stinks, but what else can they do?

nobody gets anythinged until all the epstein files are release per the law. congress passed last year. 'i'm gonna vote no on your nomination because trump has not released the epstein files. in the meantime, i have questions for you.'

"To date, Peters, Slotkin, and Fetterman are the only Democratic senators to return blue slips for any of Trump’s second-term nominees. Thanks to their generosity, the full Senate confirmed both Martin and Pozos earlier this week by votes of 62-36 and 49-44, respectively." Glad they aren't my sens!

Anyone voting for ANY nominee for any position needs to be primaried out at the next possible moment. Just absolutely fucking stupid. Rejecting any and all trump nominees should have been one of their main priorities since January 2025.

There's no mention—in this blog—of caseloads. There's no distinction between district & appellate positions, or their functions. Save the red cards for the Justin Walker & Aileen Cannon types, who lack knowledge of legal process. At the appellate level, save it for malicious actors, like Emil Bove

Ooh, edgy! Some people think the answer to childish, petulant right-wing zealotry is childish, petulant left-wing zealotry. I think the answer is serious adults who know what they're talking about. Lots of Trump appointees have ruled against his Administration. Let's get that type of judge.

It is my un-verified opinion that dark billionaire money is being used to sabotage democratic primary elections in favor of corporate/fascist friendly candidates.

While sending me emails and texts all day telling me how they are “fighting “ tooth and nail to save democracy, while simultaneously voting for Trump’s appointees, is why I am done listening to their bullshit. F Tim Kaine.

This is the reason I went from donating tens of thousands of dollars in the last few election cycles to spending absolutely zero this year. I saw every one of the candidates I sent money to vote yes for trump cabinet members and judges. Between that and AIPAC 💰 I just can’t.

Individual voters get "vote blue no matter who" yelled at them even when they explain that they already do, they just want the blues they voted for to do better, but apparently we can't say it to senators who keep voting red unless it's the entire caucus doing it

Elissa Slotkin—along with a sizable number of other Dem senators—has repeatedly voted to confirm the nominees of the man who instigated a violent and deadly insurrection at the U.S. capitol. That’s unforgivable. I made the mistake of donating to her in ‘24. She’ll never get another nickel from me.

If you live in Ohio, Maine, Alaska, Michigan, NC, TX, NH, or GA, & you don’t want ANOTHER radical trump SCOTUS justice, vote for the Democrat for Senate. Only they can block extremist Nominees and we know a Republican Senate will rubber stamp trumps picks. Vote blue to save SCOTUS. Share this

Absolutely disgusted to learn that both of my nominally Democratic senators went along with this charade. We already convinced Peters not to run again. Slotkin, you're next. Get with the program or get outta here.

They're rich people. They hang out primarily with rich people, rich people are "their people" and injustice primarily happening to poor people isn't a good enough reason to make their dinner parties and golf games with their "colleagues across the aisle" awkward.

Bingo! I would put it more that they are of and for the upper 20 % income group. It's their base, their source of opinions, their true constituency. Not enough to elect them though, so they have to cosplay some concern for the "underprivileged" 80.
