I am loathe to post something I haven't read fully due to a paywall but I am glad to see this amid the accolades for this movie. I liked it but I was also frustrated Fielder did not ask her more specific questions over very clear lies.

“'You Can See Everything' is a hilarious, thrilling, fascinating, beautiful piece of art. What it certainly is not is a documentary, and it’s dangerous to pretend that it is,” writes Theranos whistleblower Tyler Shultz. https://bit.ly/4Bk2nDJ

Sure, he can say this sort of thing as a candidate in a safe, blue, hippy state like Kansas...

I think the real purpose here is to keep the seat empty for as long as possible while they contest it. I can even see the Supremes using the shadow docket to keep it open pending a decision on the question of ranked choice voting or even if a person with the same name can run. They are that corrupt.

Blanche on CBS says his suit against Alaska is "asking the court to step in where the Alaska Supreme Court didn't, which is to look at federal law and if necessary to allow a process for Alaska to decide who should be certified as the winner." (So, the voters won't get to decide. Got it.)

"Empirical studies have long found that EISs [Environmental Impact Statements] are required in only about 1% of the federal actions subject to NEPA." May I say that I am truly embarrassed that I believed the claim that federal environmental legislation was blocking the development of clean energy.

This article is an important corrective to the claim that Federal environmental laws are holding back clean-energy development. Their empirical finding: "environmental reviews and permitting rarely delay or block utility-scale renewable energy projects." Link in next tweet.

Like, if you wiped the memories of everyone currently in DSA and sent us all back in time to 2016 or 2020, does the org endorse Bernie Sanders for president? If the answer is no, then DSA basically does not deserve to exist in the state it currently does. This is basically the same question imo

I can never repost this enough. The amount of scorn this man got for his consistent moral stances, for defending the rights of everyone before any sort of cynical ploy for himself. It is a beautiful thing he'll win, be like Abdul. I believe as long as we have these good people, transphobia will lose

We're being told that if we sacrifice the rights of some people, then the rest of us get to keep our rights. We all know that's some BS.

People like Matt Yglesias treat the militarized border as an unchangeable reality and an automatic political loser when in reality it is an incredibly recent lurch to the right whose consequences are now in full view of the citizenry.

SpaceX got almost $6 BILLION in taxpayer-funded defense contracts last fiscal year. Meanwhile, SpaceX CEO, Elon Musk, has spent over $360 MILLION in our elections this cycle. This should be illegal — but it isn't. I'll be introducing a bill to close the loophole that allows it.
