Per a new report from House Democrats, Trump's DOJ is withholding evidence of his ties to Epstein and slow-walking the complete release of the Epstein files. It's time to end the cover-up and expose the truth. Remember this when you cast your ballot. www.ms.now/news/house-j...

For the fabulously wealthy, paying taxes is pretty much optional. They can borrow against their vast wealth, which is mostly an untaxed capital gain, without paying taxes. When they die, the capital gain goes to zero. And loopholes exist to bypass the estate tax too.

It is so funny to me that the thing so many on the left complain about the Democratic Party doing - smoke-filled rooms and cabals of party leadership torpedoing electsble progressive candidates with local support - is literally the thing the DSA is doing.

i am inviting anyone from a legacy media organization to explain to me why the house judiciary dems report on trump’s epstein’s ties and multiple allegations of rape isn’t worthy of extensively reporting on. i’m serious. i want to understand.

It genuinely does suck and is *bad* that it feels like there’s almost nowhere to go for people who 1. Want to work on robotics (like drones) and 2. Don’t want to build weapons.

The fact that Trump keeps claiming voter fraud in the 2026 midterms before a single vote has been counted is wild to me. Reminds me of how he won all seven swing states in 2024. If you and I were planning to cheat, we’d say, “Let’s do five, not seven. It’ll seem more believable.”

Great thread! I would add that AI boosters dwell in the world of the corporation, full of managers parroting jargon like "deliverables" or "getting buy ins." Bender has accused a world full of parrots of creating machines that parrot. That they are oblivious to the irony should not be a surprise.

It's like everyone decided "If the president was plausibly accused of child sex trafficking, it would be the biggest scandal of all time" and went from there to "It's not the biggest scandal of all time, so I guess he's not plausibly accused of child sex trafficking." But he is.

So Lula not only won, he basically doubled his margin of victory from 2022. I'm guessing he won thanks to voters who didn't love him, but were terrified to see Flavio given near-dictatorial power. It's going to be a messy next chapter for Brazil, but at least it'll be a fight, not a curb-stomping.
