What’s that you say? Liz has a new book out which even the Telegraph is saying is even more unhinged than the last one? Wonderful, I’ll post this then.

Never heard of it so those 2 letters were a huge clue. Also, set off in the wrong direction initially! 🤦🏻‍♀️ Loconundrum #226 ⬜⬜⬜ 🚂🚂 ⬜⬜⬜ 🚂🚂🚂 ⬜⬜⬜ 🚂 🟨🟩⬜ 🚂 🟩🟩🟩

Feels like a metaphor for Elon Musk

the beggars out of here getter@milesklee.bsky.social

In July, an incensed Elon Musk vowed that Grok Imagine would produce a "full-length" and "historically accurate" adaptation of Homer's Odyssey to put Christopher Nolan's woke version to shame. Three months later, we got seven minutes of slop that Grok itself admits is not historically accurate.

Just reversing back into Euston! Chelsea FC I really don’t know if you’re worth all this grief, especially when you can’t beat Spurs (which has been almost a given over the last 30+ years)! 🤬

Spoke too soon! Departed Euston at 14:45 and already at a standstill. Apparently overhead lines have come down. May have to go back into Euston and come out on a different line. One positive outcome of this is that I may get all my money back!

Euston is heaving, luckily got a seat in the waiting area. 20 minutes to departure and praying that everything goes to plan. Though it doesn’t look like it will leave on time as boarding is listed as 14:29!

And that's what happens when voting is not a right, but rather a requirement in the Brazilian Constitution. Failure to vote without justification is subject to penalty. It’s no wonder why Brazilians take voting so seriously. It’s not like they have a choice. #vote

Oh my gosh, great write up and recommendation of a heartbreaking story with a happy ending. One to add to the pile! 👇🏻

In one day, two politicians - Bolsonaro in Brazil and Vucic in Serbia - with ties to Trump have lost surprise elections thanks to high turnout. The rise of the international far-right is not inevitable.

It's really important to pay attention to the fact that Lula beat the fascist candidate not by compromising and trying to meet fascist voters in the middle, but by sticking to his guns, promising prosecutions for election interference, and mobilising his own voters to turn out in greater numbers.

In his acceptance speech, Lula says he will work to regulate digital platforms in Brazil. “Digital crimes must be dealt with like real-life crimes.” This comes after Meta directly interfered with the Brazilian elections, favouring Flávio Bolsonaro.

He’s right, sensible advice being derided by those in a position to mock. Water is my downfall, as I don’t like to drink from plastic. But food, torches, candles, matches, first aid kit. Gutted I got rid of my camping gas cooker though. 👇🏻
