A listener to the two of us last night would either conclude that the Brewers had a particularly good inning or everything was literally on fire.

I really hope Jon and Maggie from TF Chronicles on @longboxcrusade.bsky.social are enjoying the hell out of this #WorldSeries.

The reason that all this happened is because too many Americans thinks it’s cool and funny to be ignorant assholes. It’s not funny.

This wasn’t just the moment a dog found a home. It was the moment he realized someone had finally chosen him. The way he looks up at his new person says more than any caption ever could. 🥺❤️

Teenage me reviewing the first @themountaingoats.bsky.social LP, 31 years ago. Nottinghamshire mice ate most of the six issues of my fanzine I put out. The Mountain Goats narrowly survived the killer teeth. Tuscadero were less fortunate.

My two-year-old son adores getting books in the mail from "Miss Dolly." She's a hero in our house. Safe home, Miss Dolly.

The publishing industry views Bluesky as some tiny unimportant island out somewhere in a far-off ocean. It's not worthy of their attention like Amazon Algoland or The Republic Of Instagram Influencer Collaborativepost is. What they don't realise is just how much the island's inhabitants love books.

Read this. The prose is a brain tickling delight, the setting gently magical, the story wonderous, the characters so very human, and the ending heartbreaking in that way that warms you. First book of Toms (@dj-acid-reflux.bsky.social) that I've read, but it won't be the last.

These guys are some of the best comics podcasters around and you should listen to them.
