[Sees someone posting covid denialism, namely disbelief in long covid]Gonna dabble in AIDS denialism next? If you judge people for their decision to wear a mask, you're a shitty person.
Must be nice, not having chronic health problems. Probably someone with nothing rewarding in life, possibly fishing to get the new "no dogpiling" rule to go after a bunch of people just to feel something where their soul should be. They don't deserve the attention.
you HAVE to get on board with beanie babies. beanie babies are going to leave you behind. you must devote your time to studying all the new beanie babies and how it impacts yuor life. also theyre alive and im in love with iggy the iguana
This whole ACS logo redesign was just an elaborate prank to make me have a whole bunch of stylized robot buttholes on top of my browser window, wasn't it?

the thing about "separating the art from the artist" is that it comes from academic circles where they were trying to separate an artist's views from an interpretation of their work as an intellectual exercise, not as a way to give people moral carte blanche to support shitty people
Look, if I'm going to be referring to a group of people who might not all identify as the same gender (or are non-binary) I'll either be using y'all or comrades. Jack's just mad that he can't turn the word "Y'all" into an exhibit at the British Museum, where the inventors can't use it.
Minor point but I really hate this performative “y’all” people do to try and appear more folksy. I don’t type in a Yorkshire accent and I did people would rightly tell me to shut up.
I don't know what is going on with autocorrect, but it's very clear to me while doing a not-quite-final read through that the "correcting what you're typing while you're typing it" is introducing more errors, and more obviously wrong ones, than it ever catches.
Ethanol is really just the least-efficient and most resource-intensive solar battery power for cars anyway, cut out the middlemen and put gigawatts worth of solar in rural areas instead
Worked at a bakery. The gigantic-ass mixer had been set up next to the dishwasher, and the dishwasher door opened up *over* the mixer. The door could collect water, and would sometimes spill it into the mixer bowl. I warned management of the risk. They made excuses for not moving the mixer.
One day the dishwasher spills water right into over 50lbs of freshly mixed dough. Management was informed that over 50lbs of freshly mixed dough was getting tossed out because the dishwasher did what I warned them it could do.
Like magic, they were able to move the mixer by the next day.
I get that it would be a political faux pas to openly celebrate Lindsey Graham snuffing it, but there's always just keeping the statement limited to sympathy for those whose lives he had an impact on.
The strangest thing happened today. We went to the uninhabited island of Lunga, west of Mull, to look at the puffins nesting there. I was just taking photos when I felt a thump as something landed quite heavily in my head. It was a puffin! It stayed for about a minute before flying off.
I'd be interested in some thoughts from Americans on here on an idea:
Over the last 5 years, have you found yourself identifying more with your home state than the US as a whole over time?
If the rodeo this happened at had been adhering to the Flag Code, this never would have happened. (From the replies, the parachuter is okay and only sustained a minor cut. I can joke without guilt.)
