So pleased to hear this confirmed in the PM’s speech. Big congrats to @makevotesmatter.bsky.social and all who’ve campaigned for it! At last we have a chance to restore trust in our politics with a system where “everyone’s views count and everyone’s vote matters” 👏👏👏

This is an excellent video essay about how the psychopathology of weak men has been selected for in a group of elite podcasters/influencers controlled by billionaires in order to radicalise and manufacture consent. Very horrific. youtu.be/wn9pQb4ukBo?...

New, from me: It is fine to disagree with aspects of the pandemic response. But what we saw at Fauci's hearing was something different: a show trial where cranks tried to threaten and shift blame to an public servant. Here is why this is bad for all of us.🧵 donmoynihan.substack.com/p/watching-t...

Honestly wild that one can dedicate one's life to education and public service but still get this treatment from Goodwin et al. I mean, like, I get it, I get how racism works. Whole point is making judgements independent of what you do or are like; content of your character! But still, wild to see.

This is a funny way of saying "Trump is so corrupt and evil that Nixon seems like an angel in comparison."
JD Vance: "I think Nixon's historical legacy is enjoying a bit of a renaissance, and deservedly so. I joked that if Watergate happened tomorrow, it would be like a 12 hours news story. The idea that it took down a presidency is crazy."

Climate breakdown is here. We must double down on efforts to decarbonise but that's not enough. We need new rights at work to protect us from climate danger - failing to act now will endanger workers' lives and cost our health service dearly.

cc @matthewremski.bsky.social @derekberes.bsky.social -- worth bringing more attention to this network of grifters through your platform if you have the time.
Oh and other people who might be interested @peterbyrom.bsky.social @randalrauser.bsky.social
The kind of company Robinson keeps includes another transparent religious Grifter, Ceiron Dewar who turns up at Tommy Robinson Rallies wearing a Temu Bishop costume, despite most of his life before religion involving... scamming people. web.archive.org/web/20221001...
He THEN started getting into grifting in the UK's conspiracy scene by LARPing as a Christian. Eventually becoming a "priest" in various heterodox sects. In the UK though, the Church is establishment, and if you're outside the CofE or Catholic Church it smells very fishy when you're wearing robes etc
Robinson would attend protests and things grievance mongering, but the UK public generally mocked him i.e. "You're not a real vicar!" youtu.be/xIg5AYr5FtQ?...
