I had a feeling that this would be the result, from the day Eby called this election. A stupid move, and we, not he, will pay the price for it. Sure, his political career may be done, and it should be, but he'll be fine. A lot of others will suffer due to his hubris, and will not be fine.

It's election day in BC. And it's stupid and awful and I get if you have the urge to not vote. But you should still vote. At the very least because in BC, parties get funding based on their vote percentage. If you truly hate all of the parties, write in whatever you want or spoil your ballot.

We are saddened to say goodbye to our dear friend, Oscar-winning actress Eva Marie Saint. One of the last surviving stars of Hollywood’s Golden Age, we’ll forever be grateful for unforgettable contributions to cinema, her generosity and her humor. Our thoughts are with her loved ones.

Eva Marie Saint has died at the age of 102. I was smitten with her the first time I saw her in On The Waterfront and North By Northwest, and found her to be a welcome presence in anything I saw her in. May she rest in peace after a good, long life. One of the last of the old guard.
