We were deeply saddened to learn of the passing of long time bus rider Todd Williams (Chimera8990) His family graciously donated many items from his extensive collection back to us so we could continue to raise money in his name for a cause he was so passionate about.

If you believe in nothing else, believe in human greed. If these AI folks really believed it was the secret to success and riches, they would NOT be encouraging everyone else to use it and give up their competitive advantage. They want to drag you down to their level. Don’t let them.

"I don't know what I want" is a direction problem, and it's a problem that has solutions. Clear and understood ones. You do quick back and forth, you keep the quality low so people don't waste their time. Talk it out. You don't say "go away and waste a week or more on something I'm uncertain about"

But Desert Bus, isn't Persona 30 years old? WHY YES IT IS! So we're exceptionally lucky to have this 15 LP Record collection from iam8bit! With just over 8.5 hours of funky off-beat music from the games it's a must have for any hardcore collector.

A quick note for the people reading my EA story and thinking 'well, if it's so bad, why don't they leave?' Simply, there is nowhere to go. There is dearth of jobs right now across the game industry—just relentless cuts across the board—and people cannot just uproot their lives on a whim.

NEW: The DOGE operative who gutted USAID -- firing thousands of employees and canceling lifesaving programs -- never actually signed the paperwork that's legally required for him to be employed by the agency.

I say "token", because AI usage is literally a slot machine. you pay a token per-slot-machine-lever-pull, and hope you like what you get or you roll again. They do this thousands of times, and pay hundreds of thousands of dollars. I'm serious like when i say AI is a huge scam this is partly why

Look, I know all the reasons we got here, but we really need to start seriously thinking about what we do in a world where The Markets punish whole countries for voting for decency, compassion, and fairness. We must stop pretending the capitalist machine is an objective, value neutral force.

NEW: I spoke with current and former EA employees to understand how the latest layoff round played out and the realities of daily life at the U.S. publisher. The short version? EA is controlled by an executive class that "cannot fail, only be failed." Workers, then, will always pay the price.

The only reason I can think of for this news not being absolutely everywhere is that large media orgs don’t want to be seen as putting their thumbs on the scales a week before election day. And that’s cowardly as shit.

Not even going to mention the rest. Ten seconds in, and "I'm going to wear armor at sea, the single fastest way to kill myself that humans have ever invented." Which... yeah. All he gives a shit about is the aesthetic, and because it's just him, nobody involved can say "hey have you considered..."

To Americans anxious about the upcoming elections, a key thing we learned in Brazil that might help you: DO NOT engage with the far-right online. Don’t share rage bait. Amplify your people. Ignore them.

Many comments on the great election victories in Brazil and Serbia state that the authorian right is in decline or that voters have rejected far-right authoritarianism. That is a wrong interpretation of what happened. Progressive movements mobilized and beat the authoritarian right. That's different

I've seen an increase in this behavior as well. I know that people gotta eat, but remember not to get so desperate for work that you're majorly undercutting wages. These companies know they can probably find someone who will do the same work for cheaper since so many people are looking for work. :(

Something I spoke about before was how transphobia is often an expression of misogyny, it gives people who hate women an outlet and sets trans women up as a class of women it's socially okay to be misogynistic towards, while also providing an ideological justification for that misogyny.
