A 12-foot statue of Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein frolicking and holding hands appeared on the National Mall in Washington, DC on Tuesday, September 23. A plaque under the statue states that it has been erected “In Honor of Friendship Month."

Words To Live By Number 193

Seems like the relevance of this Reagan-era Herblock cartoon has risen by 200%. Washington Post, 12/22/1988.

Trump wants to distract you from the fact that he gutted the Aviation Safety Committee and ousted the FAA administrator last week. Don’t let him.

Do you know why a president would do all the most evil and heinous shit via Executive Order? Because his party can't easily make it law. And if they can't make it law, they can't make it last. Don't let anyone make you feel like this is The End. Do not let them demoralize you. Live to see them die.

The past several days have proven without a shadow of a doubt that Project 2025 is real and underway. And those who warned America about it were right.

SAD FACT: After only 4 days of Trump taking power, eggs have skyrocketed 37%! Trumpflation is real!

Here's more of your DAILY reminder of "we fucking TOLD YOU SO," you maga morons.

The goal is to overwhelm us so we give up. Don't do that!

Pin this, save it, we’ll need it. “When a prison camp opens in your town…when a DREAMer is disappeared from your classroom…when the President destroys what’s left of the Constitution…They will all say they didn’t know this was coming. And I want the American people to know that they did.” AOC 🔥🎯

In the space of half a day, the new administration has trashed the Constitution, subverted the independence of the DOJ, granted a broad amnesty to traitors, abandoned the global community on climate and public health, and launched a wide-ranging attack on minority rights.

Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter. -Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. Live now: twitch.tv/tiddly

The internet had the potential to make humans so much smarter and interconnected. Instead, it's dumbing us down and siloing us off. A real tragedy.

When folks wake up… Coming to a bar near you in about 6 months.

sometimes a picture (or magazine cover) is all you need

Flashback to 2020: CA official: "If we ignore the science and put our head in the sand... we're not going to succeed together protecting Californians." Trump: "It'll start getting cooler. You just watch." "I wish science agreed with you." Trump: "I don’t think science knows, actually."

I continue to be deeply moved by this statement to the heavens by President Carter.

This was, uh… ten years ago now

A passage from the Tao that’s frequently worth revisiting.

if you made art this year, you did well. a sketch, even if it was scrapped ; a poem, even if it was deleted — mattered. you put thought to paper, you engaged with the creative alchemy of turning feeling to something tangible. doesn't matter if you weren't productive "enough." or good "enough."

STAY POSITIVE!

We DO NOT throw perfectly good food away in this house. We put leftovers in a Tupperware & let it go bad, THEN throw it out!

If you want to understand why healthcare pricing is horrific, the first thing to know is that our system puts 100% of the credit risk for deductibles, copays and co-insurance on hospitals and doctors. That's insane. We have turned them into Sub Prime Lenders 🧵

Yes. This experiment will work if you make it your own. Customize your experience, build new ones, make a social network that can be controlled by the people who use it an idea we do not go back on.

For all of us who’ve yelled about what a unique threat Trump is, this pardon is so deflating. So now, like Trump, Hunter Biden is above the law? So now like Trump, Hunter is a victim of a “weaponized DOJ?” And if u cheer this pardon, don’t complain when Americans no longer see Trump as uniquely bad.

Every day I try to love myself even half as much as Kendrick hates Drake.

Everytime someone calls Trump “President Donald J. Trump” is like reaffirmation that this is the cultiest cult to ever cult

You all MOCKED George Lucas and said this was boring or dumb but who’s laughing now???

🔥 🗣️STURGILL SIMPSON: “This toxic patriarchal energy is an age coming to an end… that energy is clawing for its survival bc it knows it’s dying. We’re heading to something beautiful, we just have to go through some dark shit first. So love everybody.” (H/T @wutangforchildren.bsky.social )

Ukrainian boxing legend (and brother of Kyiv's mayor) Wladimir Klitschko responds to Joe Rogan...

Well, now I know we made the right decisions

I've been thinking about this poem by Langston Hughes recently and although it was published in 1931, it remains relevant as ever. #books #reading #booksky #poetry

Remember Comfort Zone is your enemy.

Being on bluesky without fighting through a sea of bots and ads made me realize I don’t dislike social media, I disliked not being able to be social on social media

This is pretty cool. It has the top 300 users on BlueSky in terms of followers. Right now, AOC is #1. vqv.app/index.html
