The American CEO who bought Stelco is openly admitting that he purchased the company to sabotage it. This is why the Liberals should have never approved Stelco's sale in the first place. When you give away ownership of a critical industry like steel, your economy is forever under another's thumb.

This is actually the funniest idea of all time

We can’t make movies about anything anymore it has to be 12 episode crime procedurals direct to internet

I'm begging my American friends to resist your urge to "get the last word" and chase rage bait for clout and just STOP reposting alt-right bullshit

It’s funny how Elon Musk can just turn off a country’s internet and has more power than most nations and that news just kinda fluttered past us. Like I’m sorry I think that goes against the rules of humanity, I don’t think that should exist, I think Elon Musk ought to be extremely and graphically mu

Gonna guess it's the feckless cowards vs complicit propagandists dilemma

Im glad I saved this before deactivating my twitter and losing my discord where I had posted it

Transgender rights are not a permission—they are the right to live itself 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈 Existence doesn’t need any permission, you know. Why does the world treat something so simple as if it were optional? It is the baseline of being human ♡ Chiitan will keep raising their voice.

Eric Bauza wasn't just an incredible actor. He fought for all of us, for the preservation of art, to see that real art got to shine, even in the face of corporate greed. The importance of him using his platform and his voice for the betterment of art cannot be understated. Goodnight, sir.

pretty clear evidence that republicans in the US losing any election going forward are going to always beg for a coup if they lose. lots of people will have to go to jail

a UK food delivery service experimented with AI-generated images for restaurant menu items that lacked pictures. they stopped when customers reported seeing some unusual new dishes. a tiger-prawn dish became a bowl containing actual tiger cubs. friends, i think the tech may not be ready.

If you can't adequately think of a positive thing to say about your child using your own brain, you shouldn't have children.

I can think of way more than three things each that I love about my niece (one year old) and nephew (two years old) so if you can't think of three things you love about your daughter (ten years old) you're probably just a bad parent.

it is my deepest and most fervent wish that the tech oligarchs suffer consequences for openly allying with fascism the world over maybe we can extradite zuck in 2029

The next Democratic presidential candidate just has to drive three points to have a home run: the protection of all rights for LGBTQIA+ people, codifying reproductive rights, and the breakup/regulation of the tech and entertainment industries.

Apparently, some Houston voters are putting their I Voted stickers on the Lorenzo Salgado Araujo memorial. Stephen Miller is ALREADY trying to scapegoat others for losing whatever races they lose in Texas and elsewhere. This is a vivid testament that for some voters, his murder squad is the reason.

If you ask me about my wife and I's children, I won't shut up about them. If you can't come up with three (!!!) things to tell your child why they are special, that's a major you problem.

no one cares about trans women in women’s sports and you are, most generously, the worlds biggest idiot if you take it at face value as an earnest concern had by real voters

Kansas Dem Sen. nominee Adam Hamilton on trans rights: “I don’t think we should take a small group of people and bully them, pick on them, and hurt them. I understand one thing really clearly when it comes to transgender people, and that is Jesus told me I was to love my neighbor as I love myself”

On this day in 1870, the Battle of Belly River was fought. Fought between the Cree and Blackfoot in the present-day location of Lethbridge, AB, it was a Blackfoot victory and the last major battle fought between the First Nations in the Canadian Prairies. 🎨Charles Russell

And here was me thinking that the reason people went to streaming sites was to see streamers. If we wanted cloud gaming we'd go check out OnLive... oh wait... Anyway, did you know our featured streamers spot on the front page is random? We give everyone a spot, not just the biggest communities.

It may be an unfortunate flaw but I never want to put anyone in a "it's me or them" position I'd rather just walk away than force someone to have to make that uncomfortable choice

Anti-trans Democrats are spreading poison when we can least afford it, during elections in this ongoing fascist takeover. As a strategy, it’s a recipe for failure. As a moral stand, it’s reprehensible. PS I’m the father of young trans woman and I’ll never forgive anyone who makes her life harder.

correct. it's wild to remember that so much of this could have been stopped cold by 5 or 6 people deciding they cared about our society. and their whole thing could be stripped down to the studs by dealing with maybe 70 guys

Twitch continues to do our marketing for us I see. "we don't want to make our own tools, bet we can get someone else to pay for the LLM slop too" - twitch probably. Meanwhile, our site is made by a single human dev with assistance from community members who actually know what they're doing.
