hot take: i love rpgs. i love time shenanigans in rpgs (chrono trigger etc.) i do not love the passage of time in jrpgs. (Persona/Metaphor.) It makes the game feel like it's on a timer, and that kinda takes away from the ability to just play the game at your own pace.

so i picked up octopath 0 on sale recently and BOY WAS I EVER SLEEPING ON THIS i was so skeptical since it came from a gacha but they really COOKED. insane OST as always, fun storylines, theyre not afraid to do darker things narratively. I cannot recommend this game enough to jrpg enjoyers.
