Here's a resource to find local organizing groups in your area. The most important thing is not to lose hope. Things are going to get dark, but we can always keep the light alive for each other. Feel what you need to feel. Cry. Scream. Talk to the people you love. Then keep going.

All of the screens in this subway car that usually have ads are currently broken and blank. I didn't realize until I was wondering why it was so psychologically peaceful

VAMPIRE ROMANCE !!! Favorite designer and good friend. Also I'm writing on this one like I did for its sibling game, The Time We Have.

To Feel Your Warmth is LIVE on BackerKit! A tragic duet vampire TTRPG about two people in love, one of which has been cursed with vampirism, in the final hours before sunset. A conversation about love, trust, and the decision to move forward together or say goodbye forever. 🩸🚪🌅

Right now I'm listening to Shenuque and Elliot be absolutely devastating in their playthrough on My First Dungeon, I'm thinking wistfully about my playtest with Rowan, I'm anticipating my upcoming recording for One Shot. I am gonna be sick about this game for a while. Please go back it!!!

I had the absolute privilege of playing this game before release, and it's another absolute banger. Elliot Does Not Miss. If you loved The Time We Have (or media like Interview With A Vampire) yoy NEED this game

This would fundamentally change the landscape of the United States, and must happen.

Rep. Delia C. Ramirez has introduced a bill that would abolish not just ICE, but the DHS altogether, repealing the 2002 law establishing the agency and replacing it with one focused on protecting civil and human rights.

One year ago, today Rascal @lincodega.com joined #over/under, a play-by-post @mothership.bsky.social-inspired megagame. What was supposed to be a board control game turned into one of the most intense roleplaying experiences of their life. And they kept a diary of every day.

"You can read books all day long, but if you’re not practicing, that’s not abolition." Stevie Wilson on becoming an abolitionists.

Has anyone heard anything about this guy www.youtube.com/watch?v=kKwp...

Whats the cool local game store in your town that might be interested in carrying a fun little anthology of indie RPG criticism (It's Rascal Year One and Two)

It's actually insane that people who work for these big companies cant own the work they make while they're not on the clock. An imagination-based company town

I've been mulling over this for a while, but if you're a game journo who has worked under Valnet and want to confidentially share your views on how the company is managing its publications and treating workers, I am all ears. Signal: kerrblimey.43 Email: chris.kerr@verticalslice.news DMs open

Two of our reporters were pepper sprayed at yesterday's shitshow. As always—it's only your voluntary contributions that keep us going and fund their work and aftercare. Please consider us today:

If you're in these states, *TODAY* is deadline to register to vote. Arizona, Arkansas Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, Ohio, Tennessee, Texas. Even if you think you've registered: doesn't hurt to check! And there's a lot happening across them. A thread with stakes on each. ⬇️

Remember when they pulled ads from the subway for Man In The High Castle

Never forget Jamal Khashoggi. Never forget Jamal Khashoggi.

Finished season three and, yup, figured it out. Absolute banger show

DHS agents not only tracked and intimidated people observing ICE activity in Maine, but stored information about them in a Palantir-built database, newly unsealed court filings say.

I need to cheer myself up, so let's talk about money in TTRPG crowdfunding! (I'm realizing that might be counterproductive, but pressing on!) My starting ask for this crowdfund will be $6000usd (assume any $ amounts are usd going forward). Why that amount? 6K gives me enough to pay...

Good news: Wilber Garces Perez finally had surgery to remove the bullet that was in his back for 11 days. It took far too long, and it's more proof of ICE cruelty. But we kept up the pressure, and Wilber got the care he needed. Speaking up for our neighbors works.

Take a look at Mothership's homepage and just look at the range of bylines it's already enabled. One of only a few, green shoots in the games media right now and as the last few days have highlighted, its existence feels absolutely vital.

if you aren't already supporting @mothership.blog, you should be. support women and queer people in video game criticism and journalism. we deserve to exist in these spaces but, at least in the case of mothership, we can only exist and pay our writers and introduce you to new writers if YOU help us.

ICE has notified me that another person has died in their custody. This is the 58th death under ICE’s watch since Trump returned to office. That’s 58 too many. We need to dismantle ICE, eliminate private, for-profit detention centers, and reform our broken immigration system.

We're officially two months out from the launch of my very first Backerkit campaign for the second volume (Issues 7-12) of The Hearth Magazine. I need to see an exponential jump in Followers for the campaign to have some confidence in it. www.backerkit.com/c/projects/p...

I binged the first season of Silo today, and I'm very confused by this show's politics

There's a flaw in his logic, you can be profoundly evil and so unimaginably stupid.

Reminder that @garnethenderson.com and I don't have salaries. Chipping in to help us pay this bill means we can pay ourselves for our labor instead:

In case you were wondering how this was going: Today after talking about a paper I wrote on the nonprofit industrial complex vs mutual aid, I made my professor go "I really should look more into anarchism"

I love to see more critical writing (and print media!!) in the TTRPG space, definitely support them if you have the means

A serious one today. "This is a call to our readers and future readers: please, consider before scrolling away, if you think our magazine is worth £18+postage. It is not just an investment in a bundle of paper, but in meaningful critique in the ttrpg space." playtestmaterial.org/playtest-mat...

I got to playtest this last night because I'm literally spoiled rotten. It's very good and very hot actually you're all gonna love it

to be clear, the admin is alleged to have deported AT LEAST 25,447 individuals TO COUNTRIES THAT ARE NOT THEIR OWN with, evidently, ZERO PROTECTIONS. this is a scandal and crime of historic proportions.

ANOTHER death in ICE detention which appears likely to be the result of medical neglect. A diabetic who told his family members he wasn't receiving regular insulin shots OR getting diabetic-appropriate meals just died in custody. The U.S. prison-ICE detention-industrial complex kills.

This was SUCH a fun interview!

The Astarion prequel novel comes out next week, and I got a chance to sit down with @tkingfisher.com to chat about the book, Baldur's Gate 3, working within a massive IP, and how she balanced comedy, tragedy, and whimsy. Also paladins. So... so many paladins.
