This is a publicly funded government agency refusing to share weather warnings and their own public warnings with a journalist at Global News, one of the larger mainstream news outlets in Canada. I really want you to sit with the bare facts of that.

it's going to take a long fucking time before we have a mayor with a cooler pic than this

Taras Grescoe 🚇@taras-grescoe.com

Make way for the new "Mayor Pete," Hizzoner Pete Fry. #Vancouver 's new mayor is the first in any Canadian city to belong to the Green Party. He might also be the first mayor to come out of the punk rock scene... www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

Just got all my boys together to take on the wandering ronin who came to town. There’s like 15 of us and only one of him so pretty much the only thing that would give me any pause is if he was master of the devastating and lightning-fast iaidō style. But that’s not likely. They stole my trademarked brand to peddle slop that AI based on my work but also other people's. This isn't old fashioned plagiarism where someone copies a passage or image. It's shuffled around into a "new" product which is then sold in a way that tricks you into thinking it is the genuine article.

curious how the follow-up goes "father God, we understand that you looked upon our party and campaign and your will was that we not be elected. we assume that you will change your mind eventually"

i seriously want to know how this kind of stuff got published did people destroy their taste buds by eating small doses of arsenic or something? or is this the old-time foodie equivalent of high fashion, not meant to be actually eaten by normal people, just used to demonstrate avant-garde cred

We get the same tax revenue from selling other wines, genius.

Sen. Adam Schiff@schiff.senate.gov

Without American wine on Canadian shelves, Canadians are also missing out on tens of millions of dollars in tax revenue they would obtain from selling our wine.

all the municipal parties should pick up this plan from the #Vancouver Liberals - Push to rename YVR to Terry Fox International Airport.

fellow musicians! ever play something great and then forget it? i’m building a mac* app that’s always recording, so you can grab anything you just played. like Ableton’s Capture MIDI, but with more control: it captures audio as well as midi, and mixes down to mp3 etc. DM me if you want to try it

A definite sign of ageing is that you cannot impress me with "over 20 years" anymore. Am I expected to think this sauce is ancient, because it's as old as Nelly Furtado's Maneater?

Why an election now? A one-vote majority means every vote can put the government’s survival on the line. The Conservatives tried to bring it down 13 times, while trying to repeal the Human Rights Code and legalize discrimination.

I don't deny that dogs can sometimes be quite lovely but what I will say is I don't trust their opinions. If a cat recommended me an album it had bought, I'd totally check it out. If a dog did the same, I'd promise to listen to the album, out of politeness, with no intention of actually doing so
