Trump didn't like Ramaswamy until he saw him sticking up for child rapists and their enablers. He hated the Ivy League until Cornell had a prominent fraternity gang-rape story in the news. He's not just a rapist, not just a serial rapist—he's a rape *enthusiast,* and it's why Republicans love him.

it's honestly kind of wild to watch 50+ years of "noooo the coups and corporate malfeasance weren't part of the plannnnn we were just trying to promote democracyyyyy" liberal revisionism get one-shotted by the stupidest man on the planet

The thing I don't think dems who have lost Texas understand: ceding ground to Republican talking points doesn't win you voters. No one who thought you stood with The Trans Menace is going to vote for you even if you say you don't. They're fuckin' crazy. All you're doing is losing Progressive votes.

The only reason I myself am not a “convicted felon” is because when I committed a serious violent crime I was under 18, white, and my family could afford a lawyer. I didn’t do anything to “deserve” the chances to move on that I got. Everyone deserves them.

Anyone from Western Washington happen to know Carl McDaniel, the man who was tossed by the buffalo in Yellowstone? I'd love to talk to the guy, far too many smug idiots gloating about his poor fortune on the internet and I think that says a lot about how people interact with nature currently.

Are there dead voters on voter rolls? Absolutely. About 8,500 people die every day in the United States. 70 percent are registered voters. If it takes a week to take someone off the voter rolls, roughly 42,000 dead people are still registered to vote. There is no evidence of mass voter fraud here.

The ideology in question is opposing fascism. This horrific action is a shot across the bow at all of us—everyone who cares about their neighbors, who dares to dream of a better world, who opposes ICE terror and authoritarian repression. We cannot allow the state to disappear them.

Like a lot of small businesses in our region, Firestorm has been in financial distress for the last year. Hurricane Helene was our tipping point, but local cost of living increases, inflation, and higher occupancy costs are huge contributors. 1/9

They’re killing people in the concentration camps. The kids they’re not killing are going through some of the worst trauma humanly imaginable. This is what’s happening outside the people we’ve seen murdered in broad daylight. Lock the fuck in, people.

I’m tasked with snacks for like 5 meetings this month. I used to love these things but nah, I’ll find something else. Fuck these guys for this evil shit.

Literally half the country wants to abolish ICE and the Democrats are going to make them pinky swear not to deport U.S. citizens anymore

Man, we don’t even have any names for Pretti’s killers, ffs! Dems and media pros wanna act like we just won the battle, when in fact the folks in the street have made the other side step back and take a breath before pounding us again. It’s time STRIKE, you idiots.

Greg Sargent@gregsargent.bsky.social

If media is going to claim a "pivot," let's stipulate some threshold questions: Is ICE still treating US cities like occupied territory? Will there be serious governmental investigations into ICE killings? Any accountability for them? If not, nothing is changing. 2/ newrepublic.com/article/2057...

TURN UP the demands dummies! Y’all need to be in congress pushing to abolish ice, not mewling for a new head of it. Swear to god, the last thing I’m gonna see when the gas fills my lungs in Camp Miller is these fucking Dem chumps toasting their donors. It’s your fault. You did this.

Once again: Focusing on their lack of training is a mistake. With "better training," their violence would simply cost more, and they would still kill whoever they wanted, but make it look more professional — to make people more comfortable, the way many of you are at ease with local police violence.

These three things are NOT VERY MUCH to demand of our representatives, if they have any basic perception of the moment we’re in. Also, incidentally, they’d buy you a shit-ton more votes than whiny fundraising emails will, @ossoff.bsky.social
