Over on the MediaOCD blog is a new Toole's Gold! @miketoole.com takes you on a ride to explain the bicycle race anime that is Nasu! mediaocd.com/tooles-gold-...

And now we can talk about the extras! I helped provide hundreds of scans of release and production material for these discs AND! over ONE-HUNDRED PAGES of liner notes across all 26 episodes. Some truly in-depth trivia contained in the liner notes. Please enjoy this terrific release!

It was the best of times, and it IS the best of times! So thankful to Discotek for allowing me to help on this release, a dream of mine that's come true! Praise the Lord for the opportunity to help with what I'm most knowledgeable and passionate about

Sad to hear but 97 is a hell of a run. He was so good as Alex Rosewater, to say nothing of his myriad of other roles. www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie...

Yo pookie, still alive?

Vampire Princess Miyu arrived, but for some strange reason it has box art!? Oh well, I’ll just have to take matters into my own hands.

'Icarus,' an independently produced animated take on the classic Greek myth, is now available on Blu-ray from MediaOCD. #Icarus #CarloVogele #animation

Certainly didn't expect this to show up the very next day but I'm not complaining when 2-day becomes overnight. Still doesn't feel real that I got to handle a release of my favorite anime. Can't wait for everyone to start getting their copies too.

We also did an episode with Kyoko Yamashita who worked on marketing Final Fantasy VII + other Square titles in that era. This one might be squarely for @maxdood.bsky.social, ahaha. The insights and concerns into marketing a JRPG in that time are super fascinating tho. www.youtube.com/watch?v=k-lP...

I haven't talked about it a lot, but I picked up a gig to help ends meet editing my old boss' game industry podcast. This week's episode is with Lisa Welch who worked on marketing for PS1 and the PS2 launch... if you remember the PS9 commercial, she worked on it. Super neat. youtu.be/EaFEjEfNwIU?...

A new feature article at the MediaOCD blog! Whether you don't know where to start with the phantom thief, or seeing if you missed something, @riderstrike.bsky.social goes over the various Lupin the Third releases at the store! Even a board game! mediaocd.com/jackets-galo...

How extremely fitting that my copy of Big O would ship today, on the show's 27th anniversary.

Nothing cooler than going to a media store on another continent and seeing your own product (put out by a local distributor with no modification)

The Puella Magi Madoka Magica: The Movie Trilogy 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Box is up to pre-order and will be shipping this month! Beginnings, Eternal, & Rebellion are all here subbed & dubbed from Aniplex of America! mediaocd.com/product/puel...

Bringing back one I once Photoshopped.

Aniplex of America arrives at the MediaOCD store with four box sets! Gurren Lagann: TV Series Complete Blu-ray Box and Gurren Lagann the Movies 4K! Mashle: Magic and Muscles Season 1 and The Divine Visionary Candidate Exam! More to come! mediaocd.com/shop/?post_t...

In the name of the Moon! Sailor Moon arrives at the MediaOCD store! All 5 seasons of the original series & a Crystal boxset with all 3 seasons of that series! mediaocd.com/shop/?s=sail...

Also, pretty clear HBO Max is using AI to translate its show descriptions into UK English, because look what they call John Candy…

Nancy 10/1/26 … “Sluggo’s Terrible Hat” Part 4

Unfortunately, the name "Family Guy" was already taken.

Why do the 20 second gag ranger suits in Scrubs look better than a good number of actual ranger suits?

I made a thing for my gunpla. ✨

This is all I see when I look at this page:

Manga comes to the MediaOCD store with a selection of titles from @mangamavericks.bsky.social! mediaocd.com/brand/manga-...

Honest question: WHY does this look and read like someone trying to sell me cocaine and essential oils?

Now that I have a Superstation I've been plunging into all these great arcade games I've never even heard of. Case in point, I PROMISE you won't be prepared for this shmup's title reveal

Aaaand here are the stupid designs! My specialty

New Animeigo & Whole Grain Pictures pre-orders! First up... AD Police! The classic OVA series newly remastered in 4K! Includes UHD disc & a standard Blu-ray! Plus an exclusive slipcover at the MediaOCD store mediaocd.com/product/ad-p...

I will also post them here. It was requested that I do a "normal" nice design or two for each theme, and then some "stupid" ones. Here are all the nice/normal designs.

The dumb thing I worked on and wanted to show is here!! 😆 MediaOCD gift card designs!

The MediaOCD store now has gift cards! If you don't know what to get someone, get them the gift of choosing the Blu-rays they want! With a selection of unique card designs that will speak to their soul. Or confuse them a bit. Either one is good. mediaocd.com/product/gift...

Can we give a round of applause to the uber talented @thiscatdraws.bsky.social for the hella charming art they whipped up for Beside Myshelf?

Over on the MediaOCD blog is a new Beside Myshelf from @riderstrike.bsky.social. This time he talks about Rainbow, a dark period drama about kids thrown into a juvenile reformatory in postwar Japan. mediaocd.com/beside-myshe...

Lol
