Election Season is here which brings up topics that have been settled and an increase in accounts trying to both sides/voice discriminatory opinions claiming we need to settle to win. The most critical thing we need to do now is to not engage with these individuals with no intention to be persuaded.

"Support trans people staying & fighting where we are, and an embrace of the caring and defiant cultures already nurtured there. Trans communities in “red states” should especially be backed, to the hilt, seen not as doomed but as cores of resistance in areas our enemies wrongly believe all theirs."

Trans News Network@transnews.network

Open anti-trans hatred among the Democratic Party has dramatically escalated this campaign season. Too many queer and trans gentry are excusing it. @davidforbes.bsky.social goes in-depth on how we got here, and why trans communities must reject compromise and fight for our survival and liberation.

Nothing can be done without accountability. Nothing. There were no consequences for the war on terror’s transgressions and look where that got us. There were no real consequences for an armed attempted overthrow of the government and look where that got us.

Kamala Harris: I think that going in the direction of impeachment is not a good idea. I was in the Senate for the last go-round, and the votes aren’t there. I think after the election, we all have to just also agree that our attitude has to be to get stuff done…

When Im having a bad day on Bluesky, I block the 5 most annoying people in my feed. Not the ones I disagree with necessarily, but the ones who are particularly stupid drama queens. No reason to give bad faith randos the joy of energy-vampiring my free time Keeping a clean feed is self-care.

"You can't block someone just for being annoying!" Those are actually the most important people to block

We, internationally, need to do exactly what the Brazilians did and lead by example with: 1) Block all far right figures/accounts 2) Never share a far right account even to dunk on them 3) Never reply to a far right account even to dunk on them Completely cut their algorithmic advantage

i think if you have adhd you should be allowed and actively encouraged to decline meeting invites if you are in the zone. actually i think everyone should be allowed to decline meeting invites all the time. abolish meetings.

In fact I will say the Earnest and Pious Charismatic Ethnic Minority political figure (AOC, Mamdani, El-Sayed) has been a pretty good bet for the American left so far, whereas the Disaffected Gruff White Guy Showcasing True Masculinity (Fetterman, Platner) has been a worse bet. Just an observation.

Yeah start insinuating he has morning chai rather than coffee, say that he knocks things for 6 rather than hits a home run, allege that he is generally a clean living good boy who loves his mother and prays every Friday (pejorative).

You can read his written words, you can hear him speak them. You can even write to him. You should so that you remember that Champagne Song is a person, a human life. A political prisoner, sentenced to 100 years.

This interview is really interesting, among other things, Champagne discusses life before the fateful demo. It mentions Champagne's contributions at Prison Radio, which are first hand recordings made from solitary confinement. This is a human, sentenced to 100 years as a political prisoner.

BREAKING Brazil's defeated presidential candidate Flavio Bolsonaro refuses to recognize President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva's victory on Sunday. "It is impossible to acknowledge the result," he said from Brasilia, adding that "I am going to request the annulment of these elections"

Meanwhile, pro-democracy, pro-Europe protesters in Tbilisi, Georgia, are tonight nearing their 700th consecutive day of protest against the pro-Russian government. They haven't missed a single day in the last 23 months.

pretty clear evidence that republicans in the US losing any election going forward are going to always beg for a coup if they lose. lots of people will have to go to jail

It's really important to pay attention to the fact that Lula beat the fascist candidate not by compromising and trying to meet fascist voters in the middle, but by sticking to his guns, promising prosecutions for election interference, and mobilising his own voters to turn out in greater numbers.

we are a week away so, let's review: if the democrats win: trans people are meaningless, and should never be thought of as people if the democrats lose: trans people are all powerful demigods, and singlehandedly warped an entire election with pronoun-based sorcery

Sorry man this guy’s gotta lose I don’t care who the fuck he’s running against. If these loudly anti-trans Dems don’t lose, it’s going to take us thirty years to get back the rights we’ve lost in the past five.

Erin Reed@erininthemorning.com

Josh Turek of Iowa, Democrat, comes out with one of the worst anti-trans ads yet. Not only is it an anti-sports ad, it proposes a ban on federal funding for gender affirming care. That would hit all medicaid and medicare patients, and any ACA federally-subsidized plans as well. Horrific.

what's killing me about the cheesecake factory discourse is that Obama didn't even say the cheesecake is bad, he said it looks crazy in there and it does. even if you like the food, it does in fact look fucking crazy in there

Brazil going the way of South Korea. Basically around the world women are desperately trying to keep power out of the hands of incredibly stupid fascistic grifters while men keep trying to hand it over. Men are an embarrassing cringe gender.
