Blender 5.3 sort of kind of supports gaussian splats. Not perfect, but the best implementation so far. I made this as a test. Warning: I might make more

YESSSS!! Took a couple days, but I now have one motor function that can lets penguins hit any point on anything with any point on any other thing. Probably one of the most versatile motor tasks I've made. SO happy with this! 🐧🐟🔨🙏🧊🚿🪵 #GodotEngine #gamedev #indiedev

I once wrote faux networking for scripted narrative-heavy raid bosses when I figured out the local event system could broadcast to the lua machine running on the server. I wish I could have recorded Engineer type 1's exasperated<->impressed facial expressions as he scrolled through all 1600 lines.

I was not prepared to be emotionally destroyed today. We put a lot into the games we create and reading things like this makes it all seem worthwhile. Big ooof.

today's @mothership.blog story is about mothers and daughters and it can't really be summed up in a sentence very well... i cried multiple times reading it, i'll say that much

So... something REALLY cool happened I had my first week working on a SERIOUSLY cool project with VERY talented people at a place that makes me remember exactly why I LOVE making video games. Coolest. Week. Ever. (..so far???)

Side note. It is not lost on me how lucky and fortuitous I have been to end up in this place working on this project. It feels like I've used up all my career luck in one go! I promise to do the best I can with this opportunity, universe.

I was taught by all cyberpunk media that that the billionaire propaganda would not be blindingly obvious. I guess they are already so rich they really don't have to try 🫠

You don’t need to make drinking water a part-time job since too much of it doesn’t have any real health benefit. 🔗: on.wsj.com/4hUsBWd

It’s pleasant to put food out for wildlife and them to show up and walk past you and be very relaxed in your presence but also still clearly wild animals. For them small moments you all just vibing in the dark in each others company.

Heartwarming discovery: I just found out that the rival guild from my classic WoW days had a meetup last year for the 20 year anniversary of their guild. Sick.

Sometimes I see something in nature and then spend the next several years waiting for the shot. Sometimes I never get it. Sometimes you see it and a week later you land it: I give you tonight's murder of crows in front of the sunset. 🪶

One of today’s workshop robin visits, they seem happy with today’s progress with the sugan stool that only needs me to make 3 more stretchers and it be all the frame made and then just cleaning it up and making it nice.

Gonna keep hold of this for when I need to ask a producer if I can resources to have a button animated. We have fallen so far.

I'm having one of those days where I disagree with too much of modern life so I am debating going to live in the mountains throwing rocks at people who get too close
