As a young man, I used to think there was no such thing as 'forbidden' knowledge, that knowledge was always good and could never be harmful. As a somewhat older man, I regard this position was folly. No one is improved by finding out what a Malfoid is. This is a knowledge that should be forbidden.
what the fuck is a Malfoid
slumped (on a couch with blankets bc he does NOT live in the back rooms @wtba.bsky.social )

People truly believed that this was gonna be the End Da Warz presidency when the whole point of this presidency was to meme all the gutter bigotries of the GWOT’s origins into official policy
JD Vance says of the Middle East that it's "a region of the world made up of countries whose name I couldn't even pronounce"

Ramaswamy’s ad aimed to enforce the stigma against rape victims that positions them as objects of suspicion and disgust at worst, patronizing pity at best. The Acton campaign now has to pitch a rape victim as something audiences aren’t used to imagining them being: competent, capable, and dignified.
The Ramaswamy ad has pushed the largest newspaper in Ohio, the Cleveland Plain Dealer, to reverse its position on endorsements. "A candidate who uses childhood sexual abuse as a weapon against the person who endured it has crossed a line that Ohioans should defend, whatever their party."

The “something” in question was the workers themselves deciding by 1966 that they no longer wanted New Dealer welfare capitalism if it meant black Americans would benefit from it while anti-war protesters were free to burn the flag
Something happened in the 70's that crystallized politics (and many other topics) into a new set of assumptions and priors. It gave rise to Reaganism and completely crushed New Deal Socialism; Dems that eventually reemerged were and still are centrists scared of their own shadows.

fuck you. trans people come to Minnesota from neighboring states to get lifesaving care that they’re only able to safely get here because of a set of party line Dem votes.
Because Democrats are nothing but controlled opposition paid by the same people as Republicans to give us the appearance of choice

This got flagged for ‘intolerance’ when it’s objectively true
Brazil going the way of South Korea. Basically around the world women are desperately trying to keep power out of the hands of incredibly stupid fascistic grifters while men keep trying to hand it over. Men are an embarrassing cringe gender.

0.o The documentary pretty clearly argued she is either psychotic (unable to hold the idea that she did wrong in her head so she actively outsources it), psychotic (non conscious or sentient and thus no more capable of agency than an LLM), or psychotic (malignant narcissist).

It’s a tool for a trade and therefore morally inert until applied, it’s just that it’s the only tool that can hold a working conversation with you and that freaks people from every side out for boring standard-issue uncanny valley reasons so they fit a moral valence on to rationalize the discomfort
I do not get why it’s so confusing that this thing is very good for some things and a big problem causer of others
