My son was suspended from school for giving another student a "pigjob" and now we're all sitting around the empty dinner table as a family with our palms flat on the surface staring at nothing in particular in silence. It is understood none of us will ever ask what the word means.

i was a lot more depressed when I was doing a mix of C#/WinForms front-end shit and back-end C++ stuff for Freelancer but at least we just used a dogshit SVN server at the time and I could clobber other peoples work and tell them to fix it themselves. Now I'm clobbering my own crap and crying

I've been maintaining two branches for sc2kfix: main, which is the Release 12 development tree, and r11_patches, which is self-explanatory. but now I'm realizing Release 12 is slowly being folded into The Successor Project and so I should just rebase r11_patches off the current main branch... but no

I've done so much weird cherry-picking from main to r11_patches that r11_patches is so massively disjointed in the git history that Visual Studio is looking at the rebase and going "OH HELL NO" which makes me also go "OH HELL NO" because I just wish I could go back to writing C# and WinForms

i have a theory that the moment you've truly become an oldhead at a job is when you see something wack and go "what dipshit did this this way" and the answer is "yourself, 5+ years ago"

oh sweet fucky jesus the reason my proxmox backups have been intermittently failing for the past month is because I put the same IP on two machines that only very occasionally talk to each other through a DAC I am a network engineer in my professional life someone please hit me with a baseball bat

to complicate matters the "NAS" is actually a VM on .10 on bridge1 of one of the hosts so backups from that host would work fine... unless the two tried to do a backup at the same time. clearly the solution to this problem is to cobble together more load-bearing PCs in my 600 sqft apartment

Happy birthday, Sci-fi Queen. 🥳 Sigourney Weaver has also voiced a spaceship two times (the Female Planet Express Ship in Futurama, 2002, and the Axiom from Wall-E, 2008).

Finally got around drawing this animation idea based on the video of a very hungry rabbit.

When the host died, the Lowtax Essence was freed.

Bruno Dies@brunodias.dev

it is wild how bluesky has like. a whole staff of lowtaxes. like they're all lowtaxing in their own ways. they're spending 0.5-2m a year, conservatively, on lowtax payroll

Last month we passed a milestone without my realizing: I have now done over ONE THOUSAND STRIPS since I took over FLASH GORDON in 2023. I cannot thank you all enough for reading, discussing, and sharing the comic these past few years. Truly the best gig I've ever had. Much, much more to come ⚡

My favorite Mr. Beast moment was when he got punched in the stomach by Mike Tyson and for the briefest of moments, Jimmy Donaldson's lazy grin was replaced with an expression of animalistic fear. For an almost imperceptible window, there were no metricd or merch opportunities, only flesh and pain

Not joking: I think this is a legitimate form of living history for online games. It's like an old-timey pioneer town where people pretend to be blacksmiths. This is a more accurate way to experience what WOW was like 20 years ago than being in an empty server

Randall@revuestarlight.net

customized my wow server to add ~100 bots to goldshire inn who will never leave and are programmed to argue about the xbox 360 vs ps3 nonstop
