Hi, neurodivergent queer artist, 21+, finally made one of these after being off Twitter for over a year. Figured I should probably be aware of what’s happening in the world. Editor for @GalavantPod.bsky.social

My pal Danielle Koenig shared that her father Walter Koenig passed away last night at age 90. A performer whose kindness and warmth shone through the screen. He will be well remembered.

Trans voice actresses of color (Black, Asian/Pacific Islander, Indigenous, Latina, SWANA), I wanna know how many of y’all are on BlueSky! If any of you know any BIPOC trans actresses, feel free to share recommendations as well!🏳️‍⚧️✨

Casual reminder: this guy has been getting public funded healthcare, elder care, and the ability to work from home the past few months; all things he’s worked hard to deny you.

Upgraded to a switch 2 and have an old Nintendo Joycon laying around? What If I told you that can be turned into a powerful and portable ART HOTKEY REMOTE!? I made this diagram for a friend recently and thought I'd share. Video explaining the program in the comments!

i have been mean about the verge recently so I would like to specifically point out that this is a good post

As a new Harry Potter trailer makes the rounds, it bears repeating that there’s no way to watch this show without supporting J.K. Rowling’s bigotry and the structural violence she’s inflicting on the trans community.

Mamdani has announced that NYC restaurants can have outdoor dining all year round. This is actually a big public health win because fall and winter is when respiratory virus cases surge. Dining outdoors helps reduce the risk of disease spread.

Rain or shine, sun or snow, you can now break bread outdoors year-round. Thanks to @cmrestler.bsky.social’s work, our favorite restaurants will no longer have to tear down and rebuild their setups each year. It’s official: Outdoor dining is here to stay.

NEW: Flock has said for years that its cameras "cannot track individuals." We found the code for its new AI tool. It's preloaded w/ prompts like "Find me witness" & "find relatives." One tracks visitors of multiple hotels, another if you visit banks after midnight. www.wired.com/story/flock-...

Reminder once again that the bacon recall is not because there is anything wrong with the bacon. No one has gotten sick. It's because the US government is in a pissing match with Canada. The bacon was inspected in Canada, and I'd trust their standards over ours right now.

Nash@radiodeadair.com

Um. The reason for the recall is that this is from Canada, inspected in Canada, and the US didn't do a re-inspection. The bacon is likely fine. There's no connection to any kind of illness, unless you consider bureaucratic dick measuring an illness.

Just an absolute shout out to everyone out there who helped manufacture doubt around the question of this guy being a Nazi, particularly after the Nazi salute.

Damn, they *very* selectively quote Les Feinberg talking about *hir decision* to allow the free distribution of _Stone Butch Blues_ to justify transreads making that decision for other authors. So slimy!

Wait, they admit copying works without permission or a fair use argument then excuse it by saying it helps author sales? Oh, hell no. This is copyright infringement. Your first step: issue a cease and desist order. Strongly encourage you to check out pro bono resources here. ccb.gov/pro-bono-ass...

This site is disturbing, the vast majority of trans authors are indie published and, even if they're trad published, almost none of us make enough off our writing to live off. If you can't afford to buy books, many of us share work for free, you can always support trans writers without stealing.

🎃 Killy Witches 👻@tillybridges.bsky.social

friends, please: don’t use transreads dot org they claim to support trans authors, but take our entire texts, post them for free, fundraise off it, and have the gall to claim it’s about preservation they are literally taking money from trans creators and make it harder for us to keep creating

when we said “bring back shame” this is exactly what we meant none of these assholes should be allowed to buy coffee in peace

Watching ICE agents literally run away from a Mount Laurel Starbucks without their coffee because the neighborhood completely rejected them is pure gold. South Jersey will make you unwelcome every single time you show your faces.

this is such a good and astute way to put it; so much gender critical feminism seems to stem from the belief that being a woman is a uniquely awful thing, and I mean no one's arguing that living in a patriarchal society as a woman is always a riot but what a depressing and pessismistic view of life!

I get that this is a contrarian Guardian opinion piece aimed at fretting middle class parents but let’s try to actually understand the neo-Luddite movement. They aren’t advocating no technology, they are advocating for less harmful technology that doesn’t erode what it means to be a human.

It's such a bizarre experience having kids and regularly watching kids content and recognizing how many behaviors are displayed as villainous that are currently being lifted up as virtue in real life
