I've been seeing some interior samples from artists looking for comic work. A few reminders of things to include: -clear shots of characters' faces at various distances -interior and exterior backgrounds -loose and tight clothing -fast and slow action -vehicles Optional: animals, kids, a kiss

So the "advice" doled out in this column makes me INCREDIBLY fucking angry as a former kid who was repeatedly taken to task by teachers for "inappropriate" drawings, culminating in a 9th-grade suspension spurred by Columbine paranoia and residual Satanic Panic. Have to be honest here: Comic con tables are getting so expensive that I can see a point where indie creators are priced out of exhibiting. It simply won't be worth the cost / time. It's a worrying trajectory I don't see many discussing. If exhibitors can't afford to exhibit, there's no show 🤷‍♂️
