Everything hurts and it all feels very bleak at the moment. Personal stuff. Physical stuff. Relational stuff. My world feels very much like it’s crashing down and I’m just trying to pilot the plane to a softer mountain.

This is what I keep coming back to. They’re implementing every Facebook Grandpa’s wildest policy ideas and they fucking suck.

President Trump and the Republicans had a two year romp through every political fantasy nourished in their heart since The John Birch Society and Richard Nixon, and you know what: it turns out their ideas were bad and are tanking the economy.

interesting that conservatives were militantly “we must reward hustle” when the target was affirmative action at elite universities and now, when faced with the success of south asians and other groups, it is “i think we are too meritocratic”

It's absolutely bonkers to me that this image led directly to this tweet.

We complain about sports coverage and blackouts and all that, and I get it. Maybe there was some golden age of sports coverage that I missed, but it feels like you always had to pay a little to see the stuff you wanted.

It would be great if we didn’t have a country run by stupid fucking idiots, but alas

Sen. Mike Lee: "I won't be a bit surprised if President Trump decides at one point to say, 'You know, President Xi, let's go visit Panda Express and see what you think of their broccoli beef.' I'd love to see that happen. That's the kind of thing President Trump likes to do."

My oldest was born on this day seven years ago, and he’ll be hearing that Earth, Wind, and Fire song for the rest of his life until he’s sick of it, or I haven’t done my job as a father.

These people understood the brutality of the system clear as day — they reveled in it — just never thought it would be used against them.

No fucking shit buddy. This is what we were trying to tell you.

I don't think it should be controversial to say, "we will not provide financial or military assistance to a country where the Minister of National Security brags about popping people's dreams of 'food' and 'education' then sending them to a prison where they are starved."

Ben Gvir posted this video on twitter today which shows fat and happy Palestinians on a conveyer built going through the Israeli "prison" (torture camp) system and coming out emaciated and maudlin. This is textbook genocidal content.

Hi, we're allowed to look at motivations and reasons behind decisions. We dont have to wilfully close our eyes and give them the presumption of regularity. I hope you can discern the difference in why they renamed Denali vs Lake Ontario.

millennials only want one thing and it's watching Linda Cohn and Karl Ravech calling highlights on SportsCenter for a Mark Buehrle seven-inning, one-run, nine-hit, two strikeout game against the 2003 Kansas City Royals

For so many years, the mantra was “Mize, Manning, Skubal,” believing these three would bring us to the Promised Land. All three are gone now. Crazy how baseball works.

“Head for an eye” is deeply evil barbarous tough-guy shit. These are people who have no love for civilization, laws, or humanity. They crave nothing but raw power.

Q: Do you rule out striking civilian infrastructure? MARCO RUBIO: Iran's policy is an eye for an eye. The president's policy is a head for an eye. Honestly. That's what it's going to be. They're going to pay a very heavy price. They are going to suffer more. (Definitely not a yes!)

I understand that there’s danger in dehumanizing your political opponents but I don’t know what else you’d call this worldview other than “inhuman.” he has no empathy, no charity, no positive feelings towards his fellow human beings. he is an anti-humanist. a being incompatible with humanity
