WIP on the drawing board today. I tend to rub out the pencils as I go, as it hides some of the subtleties of the inks, and it makes it easier for me to see how the page is developing...

Has anyone seen this book in the flesh? Just wondering what the paper stock is like. Is it glossy like an omnibus edition, or something with a bit of texture, more like the Taschen books? Any help gratefully received before I part with my moolah...

Here’s the full 6 from that set. Some great subjects to draw (and a perfect cast for a heist movie)

DC Comics published an adaptation of DR NO in 1962. It came out months before the movie and sold poorly. It wasn’t until around 1969 that someone at DC discovered they had owned the rights to do Bond comics for the entire decade, but no one had ever bothered trying again.

... of a business, but it makes no sense as a team name, so why keep it? I don't *entirely* blame Bob Layton and Butch Guice because apparently they had to redo the first 2 issues in no time because Shooter wasn't happy with them. But also, Layton's idea for the Big, Shadowy Bad-Guy (tm) was...

... further stoking mutant hatred... it's mind-bogglingly stupid before you even get to how it ruined Scott Summers as a character because he walked out on his wife and child. (Yes, I know they tried to Goblin Queen their way out of that.) Even the name, X-Factor... it kind of works as the name...
