The Taoiseach is now backing the Justice Minister's actions in intervening to silence a charity. I'm not exaggerating. The Justice minister boasted about his role in pulling the ad himself. The government are intervening to silence messaging they don't like. Fascism is at your doorstep #spéirgorm

Another one here where the British press just smashed fuck out of a member of the public’s life for no good reason, just because they wanted to and nobody will stop them doing at. And they’re still going, even now.

no you see, terrorism is when old woman oppose genocide with placard. Everyone knows this!

Tom Usher@tomusher.bsky.social

You have to laugh at the sheer insanity of Turning Point UK being found to be organising literal contract killings and paid agitation at protests up and down the country and it barely even raises a flicker across the press. If that isn't 'terrorism' on some level I don't really know what is

Some more rainbow magic. Photo taken yesterday in St Michael's tower on Glastonbury Tor. The little blobs are raindrops, it wasn't easy keeping the rain off my lens 😂Despite a coat I was absolutely drenched as the rain and wind were a bit intense.

It is fascinating how quickly the EHRC provided a response to the Green Party ‘Zionism is racism’ motion, suggesting they could be investigated as being discriminatory towards Jewish members, whilst there is absolute fucking crickets from them surrounding the racism and misogyny within Reform UK.

It’s come to something when a photographer has to get legal advice, before displaying this photo in an exhibition, due to the risk of being prosecuted as a terrorist, but that’s exactly what I had to do yesterday. What a state this country is in.

this remains a great study of the estranged parents movement, and one of the almost universal features of these narratives is the missing missing reasons--the extreme caginess with which these parents present the events that led to the estrangement

The other category of coverage is *extremely* implausible first-person accounts from estranged parents. According to this woman, her son cut her off after she was mildly rude to his fiance's family a single time. There's no way this is the entire story. www.goodhousekeeping.com/relationship...

Rappel utile : des néonazis qui défient les ordres de la prefecture et qui défilent dans les rues de Lyon, n'ont pas besoin de casser des trucs pour "troubler gravement l'ordre public". Ce sont de néonazis.

This is poking at something in my mind around the largely contradictory (and in some ways incomprehensible) politics of Tyler Robinson and Luigi Mangione, who both had outlier political views discordant with the worldview they *thought they had* that they seemingly couldn't regulate or contextualise

I see we're having a debate about whether it's okay to go back to "X," the site owned by a trillionaire fascist who is currently bankrolling the GOP's midterm, throttled Ukraine's war effort, and still winkingly allows vast amounts of CSAM on his service Answer: No, what the fuck is wrong with you

Is it bigotry for a woman to not want someone in the bathroom with them that is a bio male. These woman don't know at what stage of transition these trans women are. What if they're just taking hormones but still have a penis? Are all women just supposed to act like that isn't a possible scenario?

What is needed is for people take sexual assault seriously instead of all this crap about “sex based rights”. Sex based rights gave us sexual assault with impunity.
