It's highly ironic that a guy who chose his company name from Tolkien missed this bit: "Many live that deserve to die...and many die that deserve life...can you give it to them? Do not be so quick to deal out death in judgement, even the very wise cannot see all ends" To sum: fuck these people.

To "revel in the death of those who truly deserve it...is normal, good, and aligned with our natural and national order," Anduril co-founder Palmer Luckey wrote on X.

Trump has been hiding his Russian diesel deal for over a month: the deal was announced yesterday, but it was likely agreed when Witkoff and Kushner visited the Kremlin on 5th September. While Trump was signing the Lindsey Graham Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act of 2026 on 18th September,…

I don't care for performative virtue signalling from right wingers claiming they can't say Isaias. I do care that the name was put into the list after retiring Ike when Ike caused immense damage in 2008. Perhaps we shouldn't be rewarding the hurricanes by retiring their jersey numbers.

We are spending this much money, not for some vital national interest, but in order to secure oil shipments from the Gulf Monarchies to China so that oil prices don't spike before the midterms. There are Navy guys who haven't seen their family in 8 months doing it so the GOP can maybe win KS-SEN

Nicholas Grossman@nicholasgrossman.bsky.social

Cost to the US for blockading Iran and trying to escort tankers through Hormuz (ballpark est.): An aircraft carrier takes around $7m/day to operate. The Navy has two operating there, plus about 20 more ships. So we're spending over $100m/week, plus munitions costs, for lower shipping than pre-war.

As a Catholic, like Alito, I think it's so important for you to know how little—how absolutely not at all—your marriage (or your LGBTQ identity) impacts my religious liberty. In fact, refusing to acknowledge your marriage (or your LGBTQ identity) is a grave affront to your innate human dignity.

I do wish I or someone else had taken the idea a bit more seriously. People shouldn't feel pressured to join or participate with groups that cause immense social harm just to build connections. There needs to be more safe options that don't potentially ostracize you. I know multiple people whose

education and careers were cut short because of abuse from others, who deserved so much better from everyone around them, and we are poorer as a society both for allowing that abuse and losing some of the opportunities those abuse survivors gave up to rightfully protect themselves.

I was on the edge of being overwhelmed as the president/director of three orgs, on the board of another, a double major with an additional cert. program soon graduating, and having recently been homeless, and I brushed off those comments as a "wouldn't that be nice." without any real plan.

i worry that men think being A Good Guy is dramatically and heroically intervening on behalf of an endangered woman and then being publicly rewarded on a grand scale when actually being A Good Guy is just usually saying, “hey man that’s not funny” or “wow that’s fucked up” and there is no reward

To the people complaining these sex abuse cases have created a world where men now have to think 10 times before they touch a woman. Yes, that's the point. It's called consent. Welcome to human decency.
