If still debating whether Donald Trump or Elon Musk willfully crippled Ukraine's missile defense, helping to slay innocent civilians, you are a rube. If the U.S. President had no role, then an oligarch governs national security. If not, the U.S. President serves Russia. Both answers are mortifying.

The mother is, at a minimum, an accomplice to child rape and interstate flight … if we’re debating credibility and character … and of course Washington Post gave up counting HIS lies after 30,573 in just 4 years (21 lies per day). The record is clear about the conduct the aid disputes. He is wrong.

Trump: "This is a disgrace. The mother said that Amy Acton is a liar and she's no good. And you know what? I don't think you can get a better reference than that."

Q: Amy Acton's mother has not cared for her in about 50 years after her step dad was indicted for raping her. Why should anymore listen to what the mother says? TRUMP: Well, I know nothing about it. All I know is the mother said very bad things about Acton. I think you have to take that seriously.

Immigrants are slow roasting our cats ON DELUXE LUXURY GRILLS in their SUBURBAN MANSIONS while Stephen Miller has to eat them RAW in the back of a VAN.

Kevin M. Kruse@kevinmkruse.bsky.social

They're weirdly pressing two kinds of white supremacist lies at once -- some non-white immigrants are poverty-wracked criminals who are eating our dogs and cats, but other non-white immigrants are rich elites who are buying up mansions and flying first class. Pick a fucking lane, you clowns.

It's just what dictators do, and Donald Trump is a dictator. Our only saving grace is that he is an insanely greedy, extreme narcissist and ignorantly unaware of his stupidity, exposing himself daily.

The ignorance on display here is staggering. Yes, goodbye is a contracted form of God be with ye. That's been taught in school for at least 60 years; where the hell was this guy? Later people said good night/morning, and since it makes no sense to say "God night/morning" God morphed into Good.

It’s been really amazing this past week to watch so many people FINALLY waking up to the fact that Trump is on Putin’s side, that Trump is actively trying to help Putin win the war, that Trump is a Russian asset. It’s ALWAYS been the case, but I’m glad people finally get it.

Dana Decker reposted

Reporter: You want Zelensky out. Have you forgotten that Putin started the war? Trump: Well, you know, I know the details, okay? And at some point I'll release the details. WTF???

The political system is just not designed for someone who isn't a patriot. A traitor, yes, but somewhat who just didn't give a damn about the nation and its well-being and its symbols? I'm not sure any political system anticipates that.

Flynn and his brother were last spotted in the Republic Srbska working with Russian surrogates. He was also spotted seated next to Vladimir Putin at a festive dinner in Moscow, which he attended without clearing security protocols. He's in the tank.

A thing I do when I'm appalled by MAGA is give a small donation to whoever is opposing them. It doesn't make a difference, but I find it makes me feel better. At least I've done something. I'm donating $10 to Talarico.

Most people are incentivized towards competence as a means of improving their material conditions, but the wealthy aren't. Their incentives are entirely emotional: status preservation, positional dominance, alleviating boredom, etc. It's no surprise they typically regress into spoiled children.

Sarah Taber@sarahtaber.bsky.social

We've lived for so long with this mythology that sure, the wealthy can be cruel. But at least the cruelty has a point. Profit! I'd like us to open our hearts to other possibilities. Power doesn't just corrupt! It can also breed truly reality-distorting levels of incompetence.

Mike Flynn speaks the truth (over at the hellsite). Addressing Mike Pence: "You certified an election the base rejected" MAGA's notion of democracy is that the base, not the general public, determines what elections are legit. If the base rejects an election result, it should be thwarted.

Republicans, in their infinite wisdom, left a big gambling loophole in the Medicaid work requirements. I'm no fan of the gambling industry, but if you are on Medicaid and struggling to deal with the work requirements, taking a $580 bet on both sides of an outcome is one way of getting around them.

I remember many years ago reading about various views on how the Executive power should be wielded by a committee elected congress for a single term. It would have been a very weak Executive. I thought it was silly. Now I’m pretty sure the proponents knew better than most.
