The only reason I can think of for this news not being absolutely everywhere is that large media orgs don’t want to be seen as putting their thumbs on the scales a week before election day. And that’s cowardly as shit.

Beyond disgusted by even more rape allegations against the President of the United States. "In total, more than 25 different women...have independently accused Donald Trump of rape, sexual assault, or other sexual misconduct." Report w/ new details: democrats-judiciary.house.gov/sites/evo-su...

So yeah, I landed on the brick border of the raised garden at the bottom of the stairs, one of my ribs took the full force of that. It's not broken but it's still extremely painful and.... I just had hiccups 😩😭😔

I just fell down some concrete stairs! Earlier this week I accidentally poured boiling water onto my scalp! What the heck!

Okay this crap has made me angry. You wanna find some REAL activists who will share things you can actually DO instead of stare at deactivist "A.i." bullshit? Here's a thread of starter packs!

Greg Pak@gregpak.net

I'm blocking @mary1kathy.bsky.social and adding the account to my blocklists. Life is too short and the times are too serious to fuck around with disinformation and "A.i." bullshit. For accountability, here's the screenshot of the video they posted.

Sandhill cranes have returned to the Minnesota farm field where my father was born. His mother remembered them from her childhood, but he never saw them until a decade or two or so back.

Social media loves talking about how everything is getting worse. But what’s something that you’ve seen get _better_ in your lifetime?

70 percent of the internet was vulnerable yesterday to very bad security flaws inside a coding language. Turns out, *one volunteer* is mostly responsible for maintaining that code & helping push updates. Yesterday Ondřej Surý saved the internet. So I called him up www.theatlantic.com/technology/2...

theatlantic.comThe Man Who Saved the Internet YesterdayOndřej Surý was a relatively anonymous volunteer working on PHP security. Then the internet exploded.

Imagine my surprise when I realized this wasnt about my favorite bluesman, Blind Woody Haters

Else Verwoerd@elseverwoerd.bsky.social

Blind Woody Haters are generally *total cowards* who like to call him 'creepy' or 'gross' (as if that is something of substance), then REFUSE to accept responses to their drivel.

"the clear message is that what is happening to you is a second-tier issue—that you don’t really count" Great piece. Gulf of America is a distraction. The JFK Center and that fucking ballroom are distractions. Transphobia, queerphobia, and racism are at the core of the project.

How about a couple of caterpillars giving a master class in camouflage, @saskajanet.bsky.social? A Camouflage Looper and a Morning-Glory Prominent Moth caterpillar provide two different takes on disappearing into the background. Caterpillars are awesome. (South Carolina, USA) #Caterpillars #Moths

One of the easiest ways to ensure homes for insects is to avoid being too tidy in gardens and green spaces. Letting a patch of grass grow long (good for nesting bumblebees), leaving dead stems where they are over winter, and having a wild corner will all help boost insect populations 🐝
