We need to stop burning fossil fuels...yesterday. #ClimateEmergency #FBPE Climate is my thing, followed by a deep dislike of dishonesty / bigotry / lies and dark money in politics (often climate related).

This morning on BBC Breakfast, Nigel Farage said he had received “zero help from the state” with his security. Yet reports say he had previously received publicly funded protection and was offered a taxpayer-funded package including a bodyguard, a secure car and a trained driver.

Apparently, some Americans come considerably further down the list than others. And the most remarkable part of all this? He said it himself. You literally cannot make this stuff up.

House Judiciary Democrats have just released a 50-page report that pulls together years of assault allegations against Trump and his reported connections to Jeffrey Epstein. The report calls for a special counsel to investigate Trump's ties to Epstein.

Since the beginning of Trump’s second term, American democracy has been unwound at frightening speed. Analysis by the V-Dem Institute shows the rate of democratic backsliding in US is faster than we saw in Hungary, India, Russia or Serbia And if we don’t take urgent action it could happen here too

What Jason Crow says. Indeed, isn't it obvious? How can a self-respecting country cede control over vital military systems in the middle of a war to a foreign drug addict? And how could this not be a defining issue in the midterm election? Yet US corporate media want to simply look the other way.

The challenge for the UK and France will be using their veto to block this, because it will heighten the debate about whether either of them should still be UNSC members. By tradition, they almost never use their veto these days, and def not against the US, but Orban as UNSG is intolerable.

What most people don't know: when you fill up a petrol car most of the energy never moves it. Petrol car: 13–21% of the crude oil's energy reaches wheels. Electric car on today's UK grid: 43–45%. Electric car on wind+solar: 77–80%. That's why we don't need to replace fossil energy one for one.

Why do we have to be shy about taxing the super rich? Nobody needs or deserves a billion €$.. FFS It's obscene. It's a failure of gov't and the economic system if it ever happens.

Just to be clear... Prop 40 is a ONE-TIME retroactive tax. It applies ONLY to billionaires and would tax just 5% of their wealth — which grew 30% in 2025. California's billionaires would still be worth $2T+ AFTER the tax. The revenue will fund healthcare for millions of Californians. Vote YES.
