Every move Trump has made in the last few days is purely anti-Ukrainian. It's not a negotiation and it has nothing to do with energy prices, with a peace process, or with Zelensky's attitude.
🇺🇸🇺🇦🚀 Zelensky: Can you give me missiles for Patriot? Because when I don't attack them, because you asked me, they will attack me. It's fair if you give me something with which to defend myself. That's the minimum I'm asking for. And when I'm asking this, your answer is blocking Starlink.

George Carlin once joked about societal depravity reaching the point where America would televise executions. The Trump regime has actually gotten us here.
Hegseth on Nidal Hasan: "He's gonna get a firing squad of soldiers. As it should be. We'll make sure that people are able to watch it. That it's public. Because people need to understand that there's serious consequences for these types of things."

DoorDash spent $1.4M trying to stop Zohran Mamdani from becoming mayor. This week's historic $131.5M enforcement action against DoorDash for underpaying NYC delivery workers shows why. Yet another reminder that the only thing that can beat organized money is organized people.

yeah, this stuff is far from my area of expertise, but i have yet to see anyone convincingly explain how the causal chain is supposed to operate here. it feels like the "AI will kill us all people" spent too much time watching Terminator 2 and the Animatrix.
The U.S. AI industry is being run by a batshit rationalist sex cult, and no, I am not being hyperbolic - they’re genuinely Like That:

I believe in this so much that I've been sponsoring xjm at a base level for the past few months. I hope you'll join me. Details at xjmdrupal.org/sponsor-me And tell your friends! I hope, especially, that companies, nonprofits, and Drupal-using organizations of all types, will sponsor xjm's work.

In my work on the Security Team, I get direct visibility to the care that xjm puts into ensuring high-quality releases and accurate advisories. xjm would spend more time doing that with more sponsorship. If you want to make a high-impact investment in Drupal, sponsor xjm to keep releases moving.

In the past, the rich used to pay higher taxes. Now, the government pays the rich interest on a swelling debt, caused largely by lower taxes on the rich. It's a big switcheroo that we need to talk about if we're going to talk about the national debt.

Well, if *all* the "AI" were gone tomorrow, there'd be a lot of pain, both literal and metaphoric. LLMs being gone tomorrow would make some people's lives harder, but no more so than they were a couple of years ago, and would bankrupt a bunch of shitty people. Oops.
