Alex Pretti's mother: The federal government went on TV and lied about Alex. They tried to slander Alex to cover up their crime. We want our son's killers brought to justice once and for all. We're begging for the Justice Department to hold the men who murdered our son accountable for what they did.

Alex Pretti's father: Our son was shot and killed by the government, federal immigration agents, on January 24th, 2026. His hands were in the air, and his face was on the ground when he was executed by ICE agents. No one from the federal government called us on that day. No one has called us since.

Remember those videos five or ten years ago, showing people overcome by emotion when they put on special glasses and saw color for the first time, and their families were always there, crying with them? What would be great is if that could happen with feeling shame.

i am inviting anyone from a legacy media organization to explain to me why the house judiciary dems report on trump’s epstein’s ties and multiple allegations of rape isn’t worthy of extensively reporting on. i’m serious. i want to understand.

Walter was more than Chekov. He was a writer, a teacher, a thoughtful man, and a loyal friend. To the fans who loved him for so many years, thank you. He loved you too. Rest well, my dear friend. Keep navigating a steady course. – George

My heart is heavy. Walter Koenig, our Ensign Pavel Chekov, passed away early today. Walter and I met on the bridge of the Enterprise in the 1960s, and we stayed friends for nearly six decades. When Brad and I married in 2008, Walter stood beside us as our best man.

There's nothing much that can be said about this, except to recall that this man was taken seriously by members of the journalistic establishment, and treated as something other than the gutter racist eugenicist that he's always been, and perhaps those people could be excluded from future discourse

Suffice it to say that RFK Jr should live the rest of his life penniless, shunned, and outcast from common society for the shit I just saw him say, and that’s just for what he said on Monday of this week, not the balance of his entire preposterous and destructive career

I think we underestimate the appeal of antigambling politics because every problem gambler is surrounded by 3-10 people who are absolutely sick of their shit.

Will anyone—anyone at all—ask Trump about the rape allegations published in an official report by the House Judiciary Democrats? Or will he continue to escape accountability for his violence?

Liberals always argue that progress must be slow. We shouldn't listen to them.

"Online Rent-a-Sage" Bret Devereaux@bretdevereaux.bsky.social

Actually, positive change is slow, difficult and incremental by nature. Destroying is fast, building is slow. It is easy to bring misery to people - any idiot can do it, as Trump shows - but very hard to improve their conditions. Building a better society is slow, careful, patient work.

The House Judiciary Committee Democrats have released a report containing testimony from 11 women regarding allegations of sexual assault, including a new rape allegation, against President Trump in relation to Jeffrey Epstein that the lawmakers say has been deliberately covered up by the DOJ.

They bought the company that was distributing the new Musk documentary and pulled it from theaters. Living in a global fascist plutocracy is wild.

hang on, so Bleecker Street was sold to a Pierre Omidyar-backed group that also happens to back Tosca Musk's Passionflix... and now "MUSK" is disappearing from theaters?
