Clearly and effectively establishing the predicate for impeachment proceedings against Blanche and Trump. Focusing impeachment on the Epstein cover up would be the best political move to hold the administration to account. At least for starters.
Beyond disgusted by even more rape allegations against the President of the United States.
"In total, more than 25 different women...have independently accused Donald Trump of rape, sexual assault, or other sexual misconduct."

Pope: “The mind must not simply compile data — as an algorithm now does more quickly than we can — but recall lived experiences, which contain depths of meaning that only the human soul can recognize, and connect more deeply with the goodness of these experiences.”
Note the sexism underpinning this. You hear him say that the Atlanta Hawks game was the only NBA or NCAA men's game with a 7:30pm tipoff that night. They didn't even think to check women's NCAA games. What a goober.
Senator Eric Schmitt is a fucking clown.
He didn’t just ask Jack Smith if he was in Atlanta; he did a whole ass posterboard presentation trying to play gotcha, and it backfired because he doesn’t know how to fact-check.
Missouri, do better!
You can't really plan a movement. And it is legitimately that. I attended a lecture by Peter Singer at Stanford in the early days of GiveWell. EA at that point was just utilitarian ethics. There was no "plan" - there was a bunch of (mostly) dudes with a (simplistic) method.
The EA folks have always struck me as folks with a skewed notion of empathy so I’m on team “this was always the plan”
Especially when you consider the frequency at which people accrue money and power with self serving “selfless” narratives while privately grabbing everything not nailed down.
The turning point seems like it may have been the 2014 publication of Nick Bostrom's book, Superintelligence.
The EA movement is very good at uniting people who like to make simplifying assumptions in ethical analysis with their own spreadsheets.
For a corrective, I hope we turn to Kitcher and the pragmatist tradition he uses to frame ethical inquiry. Ethical problems are more complicated than a solo analyst can tackle and require democratic, collaborative process.
Not to be some wild-eyed innocent, but I think it should be slightly bigger news that The Lancet have crunched the numbers and found that Musk's USAID cuts will kill 14 million people. And that's just by 2030.
That's 9,600 people a day, every day, until the next world cup rolls around.
PASTOR LORAN LIVINGSTON (@CentralChurchNC): “There has never been a Christian nation, and never will be. You don’t live in one now. A Christian nation wouldn’t have killed and displaced 20 million Native Americans, or thought owning slaves was pleasing to God.”
Jalen Brunson: “You’re allowed to think about the worst possible scenario. But you gotta go out there and do something about it.”
A good mantra for fighting fascism too.
After ICE deported Wendy Hernandez Reyes, it turned her 3-year-old son Orlin over to her sister’s estranged partner, who tortured Orlin and beat him to death. I can’t say what I think should happen to those responsible without violating this website’s TOS. www.washingtonpost.com/immigration/...
Good morning with good news: Australia's main grid may reach its goal of 82% renewable electricity by 2030, as a result of a big boom in rooftop solar and home batteries.
11.2 GWh of home battery storage has been installed in 10 months thru April!

Pope Leo on Palm Sunday: “This is our God: Jesus, King of Peace, who rejects war, whom no one can use to justify war. He does not listen to the prayers of those who wage war, but rejects them, saying: ‘Even though you make many prayers, I will not listen: your hands are full of blood’ (Is 1:15).”
It's really difficult to properly express how nuts this is. Meta's 2.2 gigawatt data centre fossil fuel plant was already world-leading bad. Now they're adding 5.2 EXTRA gigawatts on top. So SEVEN NEW FOSSIL FUEL PLANTS for one data centre.

A man who was shot by Connecticut police last year and later died had to wait 10 extra minutes for another ambulance to arrive at the scene, after another officer having an anxiety attack took the first one.
It is deeply ironic that Trump is speed running the destruction of the current world order while at the same time kneecapping our ability to compete in an era of renewables-driven energy sovereignty. Meanwhile China is laughing at Taiwanese and Korean LNG dependence all the way to the bank. 1/4
Until disruptions ripple through the system and make everything more expensive, or shutdown production entirely. In a collapsing world order, energy security/sovereignty is king. And the fact that you really can't export electrons means that the politics are different with renewables than oil. 3/4
You really think we're going to impose emergency export restrictions to horde US oil and insulated domestic supply? Institute price controls? The oil lobby will never let it happen.
Trump's strategy is internally contradictory. Slow our transition to electro tech, kill the petrotech world order.

You can only make a petrotech global system work with the extraordinary power and global diplomacy the US enabled because perturbations ripple through the whole system. The tradability of oil and LNG was its great advantage over renewables. 2/4
Analysis | With Stephen Miller running America's domestic policy, Benjamin Netanyahu running its foreign policy, and Donald Trump heading up interior decorating and bribe-taking, the executive branch has tripled its efficiency.
First they deny our existence. Electoral victories are the product of fraud.
When they can't deny our existence, they deny our authenticity. We're paid protesters.
When they can't deny our authenticity, they deny our sanity. Our reps are "crazy".
The endgame is denying our humanity.
Leonnig: "The whistleblower says in Dec. 2025, when there was a mass shooting at Brown U, Kash was on his FBI director jet in FL & there was only one other available jet, but Patel ordered it to be put on standby for another team. That meant an evidence review team had to drive through the night..."

NEW: Hundreds of judges around the country have ruled more than 4,400 times since October that President Donald Trump’s administration is detaining immigrants unlawfully, a Reuters review of court records found.
The government keeps doing it nonetheless.

Fuentes, yesterday: “Our #1 political enemy is women because women constrain everything, every conversation, every man, everything. They have to be imprisoned. They are the ones that are hurting the fertility rate. They're the ones making us sympathetic to poor people, which are also brown people.”
I don’t really know what I expect in posting this, but maybe some people see it and can learn from it.
I’ll call it “lessons from an unwilling immigration attorney.”

What if I told you that from 1/2025-1/2026, the ONLY segment of the American labor force that enjoyed lower unemployment was foreign-born men? We suffered catastrophic loss of liberty, trade, world standing—and Trump didn't even deliver on his only policy goal. www.bls.gov/news.release...
Beautiful irony: Immigration collapsed in 2025. Foreign-born unemployment fell to 4.5%. Native-born unemployment rose to 4.7%. Turns out when you remove the scapegoats, you still have a broken labor market—you just can't blame immigrants anymore.
