1. Not sure when a new, on-the-record rape allegation against a sitting president isn’t considered news — especially considering Trump was found liable by a jury in a similar case — but it was ignored by most mainstream media outlets

It shouldn’t have been this close and Lula’s party (like the Dems) needs to get its shit together and deliver appropriate reforms when in power.

Congratulations to Lula and the people of Brazil on a truly important victory! 🇧🇷 Brazil has once again shown the world what’s possible when working families organize, stand up for democracy, and demand a government that puts people first — not oligarchs & nepo babies & election deniers.

A reminder that none of these deals are profitable if the bulk of people making bets come out ahead. Adam Silver, LeBron, Giannis, KD and the entire NBA have decided to take a vested interest in their fans losing their shirts. And if they lose their houses, too? All the better.

The fact that this was widely expected doesn't make it less gross.

The US is not about to have a free and fair election. The state has put its thumb on the scale to favor the ruling party in multiple ways. It's a mostly free, somewhat unfair election. But still one where the ruling party can be overwhelmed by numbers. Hence the term "competitive authoritarianism."

Asawin Suebsaeng@swin24.bsky.social

It is atrocious we have to operate under this constant credible and explicit threat from one political party, the fact we keep calling it a “free and fair election” needs some light revising

Q: Now that you know the backstory about Amy Acton and her stepfather and why she hasn't talked to her mom in so long -- her stepfather was indicted for rape -- do you change your mind about the ad? TRUMP: No. No. It's a mother speaking badly against Amy Acton. You don't know anything.

East Potomac costs $42 to play and hosts thousands of people each year. A lot of the players are beginners. A lot of them don't have that much money. A lot of them are black. This is the course Donald Trump has decided shouldn't exist, and in the past, he's been fairly explicit about why not
