Tech-bro billionaires will promise you a Star Trek future, but I guarantee we’re getting The Expanse instead.

Did Delamain just tell me to go fuck myself?

the story goes like this

Just saw the trailer to the Mass Effect we'll never get to play. Sad.

At long last, we have created a way for you to take away Nikki's free will, from the classic horror movie "don't take away Nikki's free will"

[BOOT SEQUENCE COMPLETE] // LIVE Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 is out now, only on Netflix! 🦾 ⚡

Ah, yes, the two bodily functions. I see.

I wish, Delamain. I wish.

Gotta train Delamain's wake word again with far more synthesised samples. Dude's been going off at 3am with false-positives loudly stating, “YOU'RE WELCOME! LET ME KNOW IF THERE IS ANYTHING ELSE YOU NEED FROM ME!”

Lotta people arguing with bots on this here butterfly site lately.

Is this enough? I don't think this is enough. I think I need more. not pictured: additional 64TB of NAS storage

Finally, having setup Immich in the #homelab, I've decided not to use Cloudflare R2 as my backup solution, but instead Backblaze B2. Cloudflare already handles my DNS, PBS backups and static websites. If I get locked out of it for whatever reason, at least I haven't lost access to my photos.

It's okay to be wrong about something. Concede respectfully, learn, grow and move on. Piece of piss once you learn to reign in that ego.

So powerful and resource intensive it needs thousands of acres of data centres, but can TOTALLY download itself into your smart toaster. Yeah, okay, dude.

Learning Vim. Again.

You know, the thing is, I had drafted this piece a month ago, and then never published it, because I thought maybe it was too mean.

*looking at the worst post of my life* I must not post. Reactive posting is the mind-killer. Dunking is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face the Bad Take. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. When the TL refreshes there shall be nothing. Only I remain.

SCRIB DOOOOOOOOON!

“Nazi bar is okay, actually.” is definitely a wild take, my man.

I JUST WANT TO TURN ON LAMP

Damn, a lot of work goes into training a new wake phrase locally. Gonna take all night to get my little project to recognise, “Hey, Delamain!” 😭

First real long-distance experiment using #twingate to remotely access the #homelab was a huge success!

nothing is better than buying a shirt on a whim, completely forgetting you did it, and having it show up a week later

We need to know less about eachother.

Thought I'd be a clever little boi and put a couple of scoops of my micellar casein protein powder into my nightly hot chocolate without realising that hot liquid actually causes the powder to congeal. I am now drinking a hot chocolate that has the consistency of watery cottage cheese. Mmmm… YUM!

"Is the AI concious, is it like a human, is it a machine god to be?" Insane questions from the culturally Christian. LLMs are Sumerian type demons that can be summoned, bound and charged with tasks. They exist in their own cateogory.

Completely forgot #PAXAU is happening the same weekend I'm in Melbourne. Day pass or not? Hmmmm...

Dozens of squashed bugs, actual package management and a brand-new testing harness are all included in this massive release. Enjoy! wilhelm.codes/blog/glazier...

Finally, took the time to add a Homebrew tap for Glazier. Easier than ever to install it:

#selfhosting your own sourceforge is such a great move. Superfast and only breaks when I do something stupid.

Hate non-deterministic / flaky tests that only pop up in GitHub Actions. 😩
