Ramaswamy has produced an attack ad weaponizing the rape of his opponent, Amy Acton, when she was 12 years old. It features Acton’s mother, who abandoned Acton after she was raped by her step-father, fleeing the state with her husband. Here is the corporate money helping fund that ad.

City officials in a Texas suburb gave Amazon approval to start a drone delivery service in December as part of the company’s new Prime Air program. But for some, the ever-droning deliveries pose the most serious threat to their private and peaceful life. trib.al/ErjQ1FU

This is a more fair comparison. Moving avg of 365days of % of window above $4. Raw scale is misleading by hiding episodic peaks. Eg russia/ukraine exogenous supply shock in ~day 395 (spike) of Biden term that dissipated by late ‘22 (~day 750). Trump on day ~500 has constant growth of %days above $4.

Oh for gods sake. First, while it’s true that Florida has the highest ACA enrollment in the country, no, there are not "5 x more people enrolled in Obamacare in Florida than live in the state." Around 19% of the total population is enrolled, which is high but hardly over 100%. 1/5th =/= 5x.

Dr Oz: "There are 5 times more people in parts of Obamacare in Florida than live in the state. It's impossible More than a third of people on Obamacare have never used the insurance policy once. W/o getting drawn into the "seriously or literally" / "it'll never happen" trap, we need to stomp *hard* on the continuing effort to undermine Article 1 power of the purse by saying that this or that revenue stream makes something outside the normal budget process. 1/ www.nbcnews.com/business/eco...

@jvl.bsky.social this actually bolsters the premise of something that won’t go away after he’s gone. Nice case study, prime the masses in first term astroturf style… let it fester while out of office, pick at scab when back in office and take advantage of the now authentic anger.

Fourteen years ago, HBO's 'The Newsroom' laid out the truth about voter ID in this segment. It’s striking how little the arguments — or the tactics — have changed. Still a solution in search of a problem. History doesn’t repeat itself — it gets rerun.
