We drove over to Fort Bragg for the weekend to (belatedly) celebrate my daughter’s 11th birthday. She planned the whole thing herself, including horseback riding on the beach this morning and river kayaking this afternoon. She definitely picked a beautiful place to visit.

While we were in Berchtesgaden, we also went up to the Eagle’s Nest. Easily the best view of the entire trip.

While we were in Berchtesgaden, Germany we took a boat ride across Königssee, stopped by St. Bartholomew’s church (which is now just a restaurant), and ended with a short hike to the beautiful Obersee. Absolutely gorgeous scenery everywhere we looked.
